My Most Efficient, Least Tedious, Method for Grinding Phase 3 of Anima Relic

I do everything in FFXIV so I spent a little time coming up with a method for grinding Anima Relics that I thought would be the most rewarding for the time spent.

    Calculations Based on:
    Expert Roulettes - 140 law/25 min/daily = 2 hrs per unidentified token
    Beast Tribes - 12 tokens + 120 poetics/28 min/daily = 30 min per unidentified token
    Alexander - 10 tokens/70 min = 70 min per unidentified token
    Level 60 Roulette - 200 law/25 min = 85 min per unidentified token
Level 50 Roulette - 150 Poetics/20 min (if leveling), 150 Poetics + 120 Law/20 min (if not leveling = 91 min or 50 min per unidentified token respectively
    Frontline = 100 Law/15 min = 102 min per unidentified token
    Allied Seals - 1000 Seals/? min = ? min per unidentified token

These times are rough estimates based on my experience and involve mostly DF groups. Obviously, premade parties are much more efficient. I usually get Seal Rock in Frontline but it's possible to get one of the others. If you do, you still get 50 Law + 50 Poetics, so it works out about the same. Lastly, if you do Vanu Vanu, it's a little more inefficient in tokens but better if you still need to get to max rank or want the bonus exp.

    My Plan
12 x Beast Tribe Quests per Day = 7.7 tokens per week, time spent per day = 28 min
Level 50 Roulette (on a non-60 job) = 1.54 tokens per week, time spent per day = 20 min
Main Story Roulette (on a non-60 job) = 1.47 tokens per week, time spent per day = 20 min
Frontline = 1.05 tokens per week, time spent per day = 15 min
Void Ark once per Week = .15 tokens per week, time spent per week = 30 min
Expert Roulette twice per Week = .42 tokens per week, time spent per week = 50 min

    Summary
This works out to 12.33 unidentified tokens per week and an expected completion time of about 6.5 weeks, spending 1.5 hrs per day and another 1hr, 20 min per week. No Alexander spamming required. Along the way, I will cap Eso, complete PvP challenge logs, earn Wolf Marks, get my item from Void Ark, and get exp. for under-60 jobs. I hope this plan looks workable for those struggling with the overwhelming nature of the Anima Relic. Sadly, obtaining the expensive crafted items is a separate issue. I bought mine on Cactuar for 10m gil but I'm sure that price will come down in time.

Please share what your own thoughts about approaching the Anima grind below

Thank you for the constructive thread that breaks the cycle of negative relic threads that have been flooding the forums of late.

As far as what I'm doing, pretty much the same as you've stated, while throwing in daily trials for the extra poetics/law, GC Mark bills, and the occasional Hunts. If I'm feeling extra productive, I'll grab a dragonskin map.

Ya the beastman quests should net you 9 items every 9 days. 8 items with turn ins and 1 item with poetics. I'm just doing that for now. Once 3.2 gets closer I'll prob do some tome farming to speed it up a bit. I takes me roughly 40 min to do the beasties so around 50-60 hours or so total? Not that extreme....

The beast tribe quests are really mind-numbing and repetitive for me, so since I really don't enjoy them, if I go through the quest, I'll avoid them.

I'll probably stick to roulettes and tombstones turn ins with maybe some Alexanders if I decide to commit. But I'm still on the fence.

This is pretty much what I do, a bit of everything to alleviate the grind. I do all the roulettes plus all the beast tribes and then if I feel like it, a few Alex runs. Otherwise I just log and play something else. Mat prices are already fluctuating on my server so I'm sure I'll be able to afford them by the time I have 20x4 thingies.

I am doing this minus the Frontline and allied seals part but doing treasure maps as well.

I think this is the healthy mind set to have when approaching this part of the relic. Dont rush in and burn-grind it to hell. Take a bit more time and diversify what you are doing to get the tokens .

It's nice to see someone else actually thinking through this goal.

While people sit here stirring with frothing anger inside of them I'm already at 18/80 Unidentified Items using Hunts.

Pretty much what I'm doing, a little of this and a little of that to keep things from getting monotonous. I do a daily premade with friends for Expert, level 60, and level 50 roulette so they all go relatively quickly and we have fun chatting in voice while we run.

The way I see it: why make it into a miserable grind if you don't have to?

I'm at 14/80 and have been doing all my roulettes, beast tribes, poetic dungeon farming, and will be doing hunts.

    Those times seem very... optimistic.

If you get a good group that knows the fights and never wipes. For some of these, you'd need to speedrun with no mistakes to get those times.

Even ignoring the fact that some FATE quests might require you to wait 30+ minutes for them to spawn, 7 minutes per 3 Beast Tribe quests is ridiculous. It would take at least that long just to run to the quest objectives, let alone do them.

Completely discounting the 2 hour+ queues. I suppose you can do Beast Tribe quests while waiting, but you certainly can't do any of the other roulettes.

I don't have an issue with the Anima grind (minus the crafted parts), but even with this method, which takes a month and a half, you'll have to devote hours and hours of your time to it, every day. To say otherwise is naive.
