What good are blue scrips?

I just recently hit 60 on fisher and discovered the best thing the Illuminati ever did for us, those damned perch. Now I have a basically infinite supply of blue scrips (and if they don't want it one day I can always stockpile them~). So what do I use them for? I want to make gil, lots of it, and my other two gathering classes aren't 60 (yet). Is there something I can buy that will lead me to a fish people pay a lot for? The gear from blue scrips is worse than my melded lv53 gear....so I'm starting to not see a point for them.

The folklore nodes cost 99 per book and each class has 3. There's the high cordial too. I've heard fishing in the Diadem is very profitable so perhaps high cordials would help? I don't have a fisher but I go through those like water on my other miner/bot. Dunno if it's the same for fisher. ^^' Or you can try to see how long it takes to get 100% spiritbond and convert them?

I honestly don't know. XD Just throwing things out.

Blue Scrips are only worth for the Folklore Books(which give access to Legendary nodes which are used for higher level crafting or simply make money) and the other option is for the High Cordials. If you do plan to level your other gathering classes then you could also buy the scrolls which give you the exp boost for DoL.

I found that blue scrip gear very helpful, since I don't meld leveling gear (what's the point).
In fact, that + my melded jewelry from ARR + HQ tools was enough for me to start red scrip farming.
I am still using some of the blue scrip gear on my BTN (soon to be all red scrip like my MIN and FSH). It's the last one because I hate botanist.

But yeah after that it's all folklore books or fishing bait.

unlock your folklore nodes.. ^^; which are used for 2star recipes... (HQ are highly valued. and people are willing to pay top Gil for it)

1. Leveling gear
2. Unlock folklore
3. Level 60 baits for profit/fishing
4. Not collecting them at all and collect normal items for crafts/profit

the posibilities of blue scrips are limitless, hehehe, as stated first get all folkore tomes, you can get more blue script baits for easy caught good sale fish, also as stated u can buy cordials, too a nice thing will be if you have good desynthesis keep buying blue script gear to dismantle for sale materials or convert it onto gathering materia.

For Fisher in particular, Blue Scripts are a necessity to get some of the best bait in the game. The only other options are Silver Sky Pirate spoils now that the Diadem is out, or *shudders* the marketboard which is notoriously unkind in terms of pricing on high level bait and lures.....

Aside from that though, as others have stated there are Folklore tomes, cordials, and of course gear. The gear is important to a fisher as well, since it's a cheap alternative to melded gathering gear, and will be enough for you to catch most things in the game currently, and Red Script gear is a giant pain for fishers.....

I imagine that for BOT or MIN, the blue scripts don't have a lot of value after they get their Folklore Tomes, but for FSH at least, it maintains value because of the bait in particular....

Anyhow, as for gil, just buy the baits and use those to catch rare fish. Sylph Baskets in particular are useful in the Diadem....
