    Next Relic: make use of Extreme trails

    I am sure I’m not the only one that noticed that EXTREME trials( Odin included) are being ignored, hard to queue for, and ppl rage quit b/c they don’t want to learn the fight. Instead of requiring easy dungeons to run repeatedly- why not include EXTREME trails for relic quest. Not only will this make queues faster, but also let new players learn and experience the mechanics in the EXTREME trails to become better players.

    And yes im a casual player, doesn't mean I want to press a button and dungeon is completed. If players have no reason and/or easy access ( due to long queues or hard to find players) to do harder content, they ( myself included) will never get better. This is 3.0 there is already a large amount of content that is totally skippable all ready ( EXT trials, Odin, Hildebrand, Crystal tower, Coil) Those are great examples of content that are fun and have challenging mechanics. I don't see the point of creating content and making it obsolete in a moments notice.

    I personally wouldn't mind, but be aware that this would invite backlash from more "casual" players (again, I hate to use that term, but it's convenient here). Some have never run any of the extreme mode primals, as seem to be there purely for the challenge. Outside of the mounts, even the weapon/accessory rewards were always just outside of the gear streamline (assuming it was raid gear>upgraded tome gear>24 man raid gear>base tome gear).

    I agree that many players need to push their limits in order to grow, but throwing them into extreme modes would only shine a spotlight on the skill gaps between players, and at worse, only divide them further. Those who can will only seek each other out, and those who can't will hold SE/those who can at fault for their inability to progress. It sounds wrong, but I say this from having literally seen it happen. Don't get me wrong, I do think it's a good idea, but I'm aware of its downsides.

    If they used the old extremes and not the new ones it shouldn't be much of an issue, although it would be a hoot. I wouldn't mind seeing coil turns in there as well. And at this point none of the arr extremes nor coil turns outside 9, 11 and 12 should be an issue for even the most casual players as well. They are super simple now and take little know-how. Although I do believe some of the extremes are still easier synced do to the ease of pushed and skipped phases causing wipes. I think its more to do with the intimidation factor the word "extreme" causes, when people hear it they freak.

    I think most of the 2.x primals can be cleared unsynced really easily so I'm not sure if it's still some sort of challange as a relic step unless you have to farm for a certain token or something.
    What I would really liked them to implement though is a minimum ilvl sync challange as relic step as in clear Westwind/Chrysalis/Gilgamesh. Could extend to the primals though minimum Titan hm will receive the same amount of hate as it will be back then which is a bummer... I'd rather get a clear instead of having to grind for 80+ tokens though all day... and I'm quite the casual player.

    Nah, make extreme primals another option to get the items, not a requirment. 5 minutes of primal or 7+ minutes of alex? That would make me care about extreme primals just for the faster clears.

    2.0 relics were the best. Just have us fight all the primals and we're done.

    Sure but why the old ones? Wouldn't going in overpowered kind of miss the point of adding them? If it were something like 170 base->beat bismark get 175 upgrade->beat ravana get 190 uprade->beat thordan get 205 upgrade-> beat A4S get 210 upgrade then this would make total sense. But instead you seem to want to do easy stuff to get good items, which is what they have now.

    I don`t see the issue, Relic is clearly targeted towards the most hardcore players, i don`t see why they would have any problem doing EX primals for it.

    Or, they could do something like how FFXI does the weapon quests. In particular...




    ...requires you to defeat x-amount of enemies. For me, this allows me to do it at my pace, solo if needed, without a hassle.
