The Crystal Sand is the easy part, getting the Umbrite is the real grind. Currently I am 8/20 and will wait before deciding how to infuse any of it.

Got to I think 12/240 last night. The Sand will be the easy part and the Umbrite will be the grind, honestly.
At 3 points, 240, that's 80 Umbrites. At 300 a pop, that's 24000 Eso tomes.
And I haven't seen any other place selling Umbrites. So get to that Eso tome grinding!
EDIT: I will say that you can get lucky and get 4 or 5 points instead of the typical 3. Will reduce the Eso requirement but aim to the most unfortunate luck and when you get the bonus, it'll be a happy moment instead.
It's going to be a long road but hey, that's the point of this relic anyway.
What I find kinda funny is didn't they say we would have multiple ways to complete this but in the end its just a bunch of trash like moonstones or items that I do not see people turning in like Demimateria 2/3. Yet in the end, only ONE way to get a mandatory items meaning you really have no option for half of it. I dunno I just kinda feel like that was a loophole they pulled on us.
I am up to 27 points on my relic and not once have I gotten anything more than 3.Got to I think 12/240 last night. The Sand will be the easy part and the Umbrite will be the grind, honestly.

How hilarious that the developers make all these ways to obtain crystal sand, but then make an extra item requirement (umbrite) to upgrade one sand. So before the patch, they preach they listened to us and added a wide variety of ways to obtain the sand, which is great. Then they completely negate all of that with umbrite, in which the only way you can get it unless someone corrects me, is 300 eso per. Seriously, what is this? You made this a really tiring grind.
I could name several places you can add umbrite:
-CT weekly
-Treasure Maps
-Aquapolis
-Hunts (Centurio Seals, most people are sitting on them currently)
-Poetics
You had more opportunities to make some content relevant again and as usual, you blow it. I can't believe having umbrite only be through eso's made it through the decision making process.
SE, not asking you to hand them to us on a silver platter, but you really need to add more ways to obtain these.
Yes i agree. Also another obvious way they could have added in another source of umbrite is through fates with hyperconductive relic equipped, like how they did with alexandrite.I am up to 27 points on my relic and not once have I gotten anything more than 3.

There is not point putting a million and one ways to get one half of the items needed when the other item can only be aquired one way.
I'm just now starting mine, sadly. I want something better than the i210 upgraded Eso weapon and I still have 4 weeks worth of gears to collect before I can get the Lore weapon. It's hard to get a Sephirot EX group together to give me a shot at getting a better weapon, so it's either wait another month or work on the Anima (which will probably end up taking a month and make the whole thing a moot point).
What i find salty is that the Eso's are still relevant, to get the 210 version, as well as for gearing to 210 for raids, so you can't prepare in advance and start buying the umbrites early... you ahve to be completely up to date, which sucks for me because i have 3 hypercharged weapons but now main soemthing else, so now im trying to get my warrior 210, without spending esosF me right?
Anyone come up with creative ways to get Esos quickly? So far all I can think of is Antitower spam a couple hundred times lol
