True. The same difference between (from what I've seen of old patch notes), that FFXI was also released in shoddy condition, and got better years later, we just missed the crappy part. I dont doubt FFXIV will be a great game, just like they turned FFXI around, and it was the first MMO I played. But, two crappy launches... You do have to wonder in the back of your mind, does SE really ever have a plan? I know its a business, and they want our money, so I know that part of the plan. Beyond that though...haha. I still have Crysta I bought over a year ago, so I guess I'll see a bit more of the changes before I make up my mind (or get deployed again >.<).

FFXI was actually enjoyable to me at release although I'm not sure what problems it had when it launched in Japan. Others, however, did share their displeasure with FFXI. So you have a point there. Just hang in there for a bit longer and see what happens. Not everyone is going to like it and that's true for just about everything....

@ Starlord, Yoshida also has been getting sh@t ever since he came in. He has done a lot of good things for FFXIV.

Yeah, I actually came into FFXI early 2007. But I've read some of the patch notes still up on other sites about FFXI. And realized FFXIV was released in pretty bad condition, just like FFXI was when released in Japan. Granted, they made FFXI great later down the road though.
