    Starlight Celebration feedback

I was doing the quest for it and it's a great fun quest however, when I was done I went looking for the dailies like we had last year. Only to find out through FC that this small 'takes tops 10 minutes' quest is all?! What the hey? Why don't we get dailies this year? Just this 1 quest is hardly a celebration. And ye sure there is the comic competition but I'd prefer (as do a lot of my fellow FC members) more stuff to do IN-game.

I'd prefer if they actually put effort on the quest and the rewards. The beard looks like a shaving cream and the rest are w/e. The quest was pretty much get a crafting item and talk to 4 npc's and boom done.

I agree that the actual quest/activity was pretty short to reach completion though, while that is something I found disappointing compared to the seasonal events in other MMOs I've played, it's also something I've come to expect from FF14 seasonal events. Frankly, all of the ones I've seen have been pretty short and inconsequential. I, however, really did enjoy the writing and message of this event. Kudos for that. I just would have liked there to be more to it, or really just some actual supplemental activities and rewards to last the duration of the event.

On the subject of the rewards we did get, they're not interesting or desirable at all. I really liked the FF11 event set and we just got that so it's a bit of a wash for me but I'm really not digging any of this events rewards.

-Beard, despite being able to take dye, isn't really able to be.
-Reindeer stuff... eh? Well, for some I suppose. Goes with the scholar PVP thing.
-Christmas stuff, sure... but there's tons of models used, like the snowmen, ornaments, etc. that I'd much rather have.

I'm finding it harder each time to really get all excited about seasonal stuff.

Last year was much better. You had a questline too, but next to it you had dailies in the residential areas that helped you earn a currency with which you could trade at the special vendor for minions and items. Now well, we done the questline nothing left to do so basically for those that did the quest, starlight celebration has ended.... A celebration lasting 10 minutes tops.

It was barebones and the rewards are really bad. This is how you follow up from the Halloween event?

I really enjoyed last years Starlight event. I didn't much enjoy the dailies, but I liked the concept of delivering letters to the Saint from children and delivering them gifts. And yes, the Halloween event was pretty dang great!
The dev team seems to be confused about what they're doing, going from 0 to 60 to 0 in terms of content action. I'm hoping they didn't give much attention to the Starlight event because they're working on something big.

The event last year felt more "starlight-y" than this year to be honest :\
Also, is last year's furniture gone forever? I was a bit disappointed to no longer see it on the vendor or through quests...

Coming from other games that have weeks-long events with dailies, I was startled to find "events" here amounted to no more than a small quest line. That doesn't really qualify as an event in my book, though I do love the decorations around the cities!. And seeing the rewards for this Starlight quest- I'm debating whether to bother. The housing items are cool, but how many of us have houses? I sure don't (as most of the population doesn't) and don't foresee I ever will unless they change housing, and I really have no room to be storing housing items. I can't see my Eleven wearing hooves and horns- a nice outfit would have been welcome, like was shown in the artwork, or minion or mount- there's always room for those!

didn't like it, the beard looks ....lol and i'm not a fan of a silly looking raindeer outfit, and furnishing is good if you have a house to actually display them. They didn't try very hard on this one. Better luck next time.
