Wait how did i twist his words? He didnt say the game is 50% complete? Did i miss something?Well, I don't have to, but it's fun.
It's pretty funny as well, though, how Yoshida's words are twisted. MMO's always operate under a production plan that spans longer than a year. Any developer could say the same about his MMO, released or unreleased. When you have stuff in the pipes to last for 2 years and only one year's worth of stuff is complete, yes, the product is essentially "half finished"- at least when it comes to the current development plan.

Pay for your own game so FFXI can stop supporting it and get some attention.Pay for what?
Official or not, there are still plenty of others. There is nothing unique about this thread, it's just more complaining, and would be no more or less relevant under any other complaint thread about subscriptions.
Here's why I don't understand the subscription complaint:
If this game isn't worth you paying, how is it still worth your time? Why do you even play?
If it isn't worth your time to play, why do you care that other people will be paying to play?
People seem to think there's a fundamental difference between feeling like something is good enough to play, and good enough to pay for. And I know, you've already paid your $50, and the game wasn't what you wanted it to be. Well that happens all the time with single player games, so deal with it - it's not an excuse for you to continue playing for free for a service that's supposed to cost money. You got that for a year. If you still don't like the game, then don't play it. And if you think your feedback is just going to be so much more helpful than everyone who will be paying, maybe you should start a paypal to accept donations for your obvious genius at solving the game's design/technical issues.
You bought this game knowing there would be a subscription fee, so you can obviously afford it. Which means you're refusing to pay on principle. That's fine. Take your principles right out the door with you.
I'll pay them to not instance all dungeons and stop putting out "raids".
I'll pay when the game is in a state that makes it actually worthy of being called a proper MMO. As in not as it is right now. Too many things missing or poorly executed.
