1. Sure, could be better admittedly.
2. Wanna say about 7 or 8 months, off and on.
3.Not really, just one of several I tend to cycle through at random intervals.
1. Yes. It gives me plenty of activities, and enough gameplay, story, features without becoming such a time sink I have to choose between it and my RL.
2. Since PS3 Early access. Took a 6 month break. Returned during Dreams of Ice patch.
3. No. I quit WOW during Cataclysm and had had my fill of MMORPGs and the communities they attract.
The game (back then...) restored my faith in humanity & MMORPGs. (We won’t talk about the present.)
1. Yes
2. A month and a half
3. Yes. WoW and ESO.
1. Yes.
2. Played 1.0 for a month, quit. Then started from 2.0 Beta.
3. Not really. Played Star Wars ToR last. Aion and WoW. Though I had quit it before XIV started.
~Quit moping, get hoping~
1. Sort of
2. I've been playing since November 2011 I think it was.
3. I started playing FF14 a few months after I quit FF11.
1. No
2. 8 months
3. No
Was binge watching Grimm and decided to multitask. Some of the answers were quite ambiguous but I tried my best. Maybe the OP has compiled some kind of results as well? These are from the beginning and until post #186 with a total of 171 answers. The third question was ambiguous (quit another game because of FF14 or around the time and how is it related to general satisfaction?) so I counted how many reported having played wow and ff11 instead, for fun. Don't take that part very seriously.
78 yes / 65 no / 28 so-so
128 started at least 2 years ago
152 started at least a year ago
yes:
- 55 started at least 2 years ago
- 65 started at least a year ago
- (a minimum of) 24 have played wow and 12 have played FF11 (but didn't necessarily quit them for this game)
no:
- 54 started at least 2 years ago
- 60 started at least a year ago
- 13 have played wow, 11 have played FF11
so-so:
- 19 started at least 2 years ago
- 27 started at least a year ago
- 5 have played wow, 3 have played FF11
New players (less than a year):
- 13 yes, 5 no, 1 so-so
- none reported having played ff11, 7 have played wow
Some trends I noticed:
- new players seem to be more happy with the game
- self-reported wow players lean towards yes (satisfied with the game) more than the average or ff11 players. maybe they know the pain of real content drought?
- very few new people answered the survey compared to veterans, which is a sign of bias (lots of newbs in-game but not on the forums or not interested in surveys)
--> if new players didn't answer the survey but are more often happy with the game, the true yes/no ratio could lean more on yes than this survey suggests

1. Yes, very.
2. Since Phase 3 of the beta for 2.0.
3. Left XI. Also dabbled in SWTOR and GW2, but they didn't hold my interest.
