Since FFXIV ARR Beta phase 3, with a 6 month period when I was still subbed, but could only play very limited times.
No, but I have played others before, I did not come here from another game that I was playing when this started.

Because the people who post on the forum arent actually equally players and customers? i really dont understand this lol. How is the forum community different from the player base when to login and post in here you must have a square enix valid and active account?

The forum is not representative because it's not a random sampling of the playerbase. It's a subset of the playerbase that is interested in posting on the official forums. This adds bias to the sample, and is thus not representative of the whole.

I may build a survey site in the future that automatically compiles the data from these to build charts from, and is independent of the forums, but even then, there would be bias.

They are more representative than people think. If you dont come here to ask for a change, for feedback or anything else, then you are part of the same problem you are complaining about. Im just saying dont take people that post on this forum like serie B players, because actually they come here with the hope SE will read what they write. And there are a lot of very old players that couldnt really care to post and write on a forum like myself, unless the situation is quite bad.

besides saying "the forum is not representative of the WHOLE player base" is quite reduntant, you will never be able to have a 100% representative of the whole playerbase ever on a forum or in game. That being said the post from Kosmos992k seemed the usual attempt to discriminate whoever express any opinion against the current game status.

The results are skewed because the respondents are not chosen from a random sampling of the base population.
