What is being done about Comcast Throttling of FF14 during prime time?

Users unfortunate enough to be on Comcast and away from the East coast experience horrible lag and skipping during instances at primetime. This is a widely known issue and even SE reps have posted about it occuring.

I pay for a game which becomes unplayable during the evenings and it's very frustrating. Obviously SE could contact Comcast and get this addressed so I asked, What is being done to fix this? It's getting old and both companies pretending to be helpless and not do anything is getting very frustrating.

Less likely that they are actually throttling you guys (in direct violation of the new neutrality rules). More likely the age old problem of not arranging for enough upstream bandwidth with Level3...and not enough people pushing for their Tier3 support to split routes off to their other peering partners.

Comcast has peering arrangements with all 5 of the ISP's that Ormuco (SE's ISP) peers with for Canada. Either lean on Comcast to address the issue by pushing for escalation to Tier3 support(after all...you are their paying customer and they have a responsibility to address concerns specific to the service you have purchased from them), or report them to the FCC. Especially if you indeed have evidence supporting the notion they are throttling.

Half of the problem is Comcast refuses to pay Level3 what is necessary to facilitate all the customer traffic they have, and so we get the brunt of Comcast being a bunch of greedy cheapskates. The other half is Comcast refuses to treat its customers with respect, and the unfortunate thing is a lot of people have no other options in their area besides Comcast.

SE could pressure Crapcast all they like, but I'm not really sure how helpful it would be given that Comcast has shown a very low level of respect for anyone. Heck, didn't recently the CEO say something like "You're the problem, not us"? I could have sworn I saw it on reddit.

    EDIT: Here it is

Pretty much what the above said, you need to lean on Comcast, they're the only ones that can fix this. Or more drastically, move ISP or use a VPN service.

SE made that thread because otherwise people don't see them as doing anything (Even though there isn't much they can actually do) so they can now contact Comcast pointing out the customers having problems (if they haven't already), but ultimately SE can't actually fix this, it's Comcast that need to do that.
