Beast Tribe Companions

I believe that we should be able to have another companion alongside our chocobo and I thought why not a beast tribe companion?

When you get Allied (8 Reputation) or higher rank with any of the Beast Tribes you should be able to get a Beastmen companion from that tribe, it would be cool to be able to have a chocobo and a Vanu Vanu or any one of the other Beastmen to fight alongside you.

It would be a nice bonus for getting to Allied Reputation (or higher) as I think minion/mount isn't enough and I want to be able to have a beastmen companion to fight alongside me within my adventures around Eorzea.

Does anyone else like this idea?

I actually really like this idea.

Also Adventuring Fellows/Path Companions/Retainer Companions would be a nice addition as well. Even if just for the novelty of it. I can see why it hasn't/won't be implemented though (beastmen companions have a better chance I think).

Fighting alongside a Kobold? Happily. Might also give me incentive to stop being lazy and do the other beast tribes. SE, make it happen....

One would assume the Beast Tribe Companion would also be able to level up.

Nice idea. I'd prefer that to just more mounts people use the least, minion recolors and random mats. It could also, potentially, make up for a weak story. Seriously.... The Vanu tribe story line is predictable after the very first quest.

Gameplay-wise it sounds good. But personally I would find it a bit odd to "command" a sentient creature like a slave. Their intelligence is a lot closer to human races than that of chocobos, which is why we can form alliances and friendships with all the beastmen.
