Last I checked for just one of the items, it's about 8 million for one quarter of an animus on Coeurl. Hopefully that will decrease soon.
(correction, 6 million)

Whoa those prices are amazing! and theres so many. They are very scarce on my MB and go for more than 400k.
That's the same tired excuse crafters giive "i want my investment back" when in reality they just want to milk people for as much gill as they can get and since the relic is something a lot of people want they are taking full advantage of it, this isn't a big server vs small server thing because tonberry some mats are hanging around 200-400k.and it's a big server while on levi they are no less then 1 mil, jps simply aren't that greedy. and it showsIt's how much western people hate boring grindfests so only a handful of people actually do it and they expect a sizable return on their investment.
I'm trying to level my crafters right now and it is such an unfun slog (leveling mats in timed nodes ... was that really necessary?) that I can't blame any crafter wanting to see something for all those hours they invested into basic grinding that should have no place whatsoever in a subscription based MMO.
If they'd make the leveling of the crafts less daunting there would be more crafters -> more competition -> lower prices and more acceptance of smaller profit margins.
It's not meant as a gil sink. It is meant to finally give crafters something they can sell properly, as HW was severely lacking that.
The need for 4 of each sure didn't make prices moderate. Personally I can afford them, but, I really don't like getting taken advantage of. I'll try and find someone to make them and to farm what mats I can myself. Gill sellers will be primarily responsible I'm afraid for keeping prices high. Too many will buy from them to get this done.
I should be hovering around the 15/80 token mark later today so I have quite a bit of time yet before getting these becomes necessary. By then like any new item on the board hopefully prices will moderate considerably.

Hyperion is bad. Most the items are well about 1mil at the moment. Only thing below that is the Kingcake that are going for 933k -.-
"Everyone has something they hold dear, something they never want to lose. That's why they pretend. That's why they hide the truth. And that's why they lie."
I dont exactly have a lot of stuff to buy Gil with as I dont buy carries. So least I have something to buy heh.
Prices will drop over time, this is normal.
Most western players want instant gratification and things to be easy, this mindset is ruining MMOs in general.I'm trying to level my crafters right now and it is such an unfun slog (leveling mats in timed nodes ... was that really necessary?) that I can't blame any crafter wanting to see something for all those hours they invested into basic grinding that should have no place whatsoever in a subscription based MMO.
Or people could actually see how much something costs to make and not charge 5-10 times more to "make a profit". People would be more apt to buy things at that point because things don't cost ludicrous amounts of money. We all know crafters charge several times the amount something actually costs. You are right in that if there were more crafters prices may go down, also at that point, most people wouldn't even need other crafters. If they'd make the leveling of the crafts less daunting there would be more crafters -> more competition -> lower prices and more acceptance of smaller profit margins.
Crafters aren't even selling this properly, these kinds of items should never be gated behind crafters. Ever. It's not meant as a gil sink. It is meant to finally give crafters something they can sell properly, as HW was severely lacking that.

People could always make friends who craft?
No....no forget I ever mentioned socializing in a MMO. I'll let myself out.
No! I will escort you out, for spouting such nonsense!
I'll get some people to craft these, I'm no paying stupid amounts of gil. All these kinds of prices do is promote players to but gil, because in the end, they want their item and they want it now, but are gated behind cost/time.
It's a terrible slog, so on one hand I do agree crafters needed something to feel good about all the hours and whatnot they spent grinding. But basically what they got is a subsidy. Companies spend billions of dollars lobbying for subsidies because it's more profitable and less hassle than dealing with consumer demands and market price fluctuations. It's guaranteed money.
