Disable camera auto-correct in Legacy

Hello. I am a new player and I'm having problems with the camera. I've tried searching these forums and reading threads on gamefaqs and reddit but the threads are all confusing to me because they are using terminology I am not yet familiar with.

I am using the dual shock 4 controller on the Playstation 4 console. I want to be able to run forward then turn my camera 90 degrees and have it stay there. Currently when I try this with legacy controls my camera slowly rotates forward and I have to constantly fight it which is EXTREMELY frustrating. Short of switching to standard camera controls I have not been able to figure out how to turn this option off. Any suggestions?

When your running, tap L1 to turn on/off auto run. When your auto running, you can move the camera around and you'll still be moving in a straight line.
Im also on a ps4 and use the legacy camera. Unfortunately, because the camera is always following you, you're gonna have to keep the left joystick tilted ever so slightly for it to stay at that 90 degrees. you get use to it.
I also think that somewhere in the system settings you can change the speed that the camera moves.
