    Nothing about PVP in an MMO is "fun" obviously subjective but majority of the playerbase forget it even exists, and guild heists are probably the most boring thing IN this game,

    There is no reason to do the old raid dungeons because the gear is outdated and useless, even new players don't really bother with them.

    If you find these things fun it's no wonder you don't like this game.

    Haha well I was kind of kidding. Though, it's all opinion.

    I'd say that if a piece of content is 'dying off' then it's most likely not that fun >.>

    I literally spend my entire time in Frontlines hoping the other team will kill us faster, so that I can get my tomes and go. That isn't to say I don't try, I don't want to hold my team back, I just don't care.

    I agree that if they insist on doing the relic this way, then they could have added more ways to buy items (mgp, wolf marks etc). That said, you do get Law for doing PvP. It's slightly slower than other methods, but say if you love PvP and hate dungeons and/or Alex, then it makes sense to spend (throwing random numbers, I did not do the math) 300 hours grinding pvp than 200 grinding Alex.

    umm PVP is actually more fun than running same old duty 1000k times.....

    Speaking of witch a map like seal rock with a capture the flag and bring it to base would make things a real challenge.

    Again this is entirely opinion :P I'd say running an old duty > PvP.

    Except that there are usually hour long wait times to get into a single match
    so it would take months or years.

    What order are you with? My queue times are usually under 5 minutes for PvP with Twin Adder. Maybe you should jump ship?

    I was thinking the same sadly.

    I hate how they rely so much on burn out overgrind, it's a cruch that they really need to get rid of. It totally kills enjoyment. I don't mind long grinds, but variaty helps. The very first relic quest was nice.

    I do like some lessons they learned, like you only have to leave the dungeon with your relic equipped, rather than kill the boss. I don't like that they didn't learn that offering an alt friendly game and then forcing you into one roll via overgrind is stupid. The lack of creativity in bothe the relic quest and diadem was shocking though.

    yes crafting is fun too though gathering can become boring after an hour.... but you need to do both or spend a tone of gil for mats...

    FFXI had those properties OP because it was strong horizontal progression. Ffxiv is the complete
    Opposite with strong vertical progression.

    FFXI got away with making grinds like me going 1/149 on leaping Lizzie boots because once you got the drop it was good and relevant Nearly forever and it's was like a level 7 item or something.

    Ffxiv can't give you that much to do because there are clear cut best in slot items so people grind one thing until they get it.

    While FFXI if you got tired of camping Lizzie boots you could go grind for something else that you haven't got yet. You had 1,000 relevant items you could get. While ffxiv has like 18 relevant items for your job.

    But the argument people use here against horizontal progression is always " I don't want to carry 9 different weapons"

    Carrying 9 weapons in ffxiv is a big deal since you know "memory limitations".
    Couldn't even have enough weapons for 3 classes with the current inventory system.
    Not going against horizontal progression as this game desperately needs it but with their current excuses it's not possible.
