This relic could have been a redeeming quality of tihs mini patch. You have all sorts of loose ends of story (If you guys are even keeping track of it). Dragons aren't mindless and can think for themselves. They can have their own feelings. They do not all follow the same although it seems that they all consider each other family in some ways.
Then the relic comes about. IMO i think that the fate drops should have been significantly higher. Speed through it a bit more. Then do the dungeons to get your 190 weapon(not 200). From there, You are told by your favorite little dragon (who suckerpunched you with a god damned laser. He's an asshole by the way) that Nidhog has dealt with the mate of a powerful dragon (Not a great wyrm but still a powerful one) who tried to bring reason to his eyes because of Shiva's sacrifice(even if it wasn't the real thing) And the fact that the Ishgard church has been exposed and that the little ones who are no more than children. Greedy, stupid chidlren, are trying to atone. She pushes too hard and he then lashes out because of his betrayal of the dragons (He could liken it as a betrayal with Shiva. He blames Shiva for this whole thing). The mate of this dragon would then have a reason to hate the dragons, and the humans. Having fought the humans and seeing the things they've done, while also having the one he loved stripped from his life would set the rage off of many dragons. And our favorite buddy would then need US to take him down in a final trial that would be JUST enough to truly awaken the blade. The previous dungeons being more tests and training and the fight with this dragon would be where it awakens to 200 and allows you to move on. I mean, it actually puts some of the lore and builds into the story which they're not doing anything with anyhow. So why the hell couldn't they have done SOMETHING. ANYTHING to make this relic have a story? To have something memorable that people will look back on fondly. Just not titan hard mode when you can't get your server stability fixed (Although after it was fixed it was fine)
That and it feels like as always paladins get the shaft. But hey, paladins always get the shaft. Tell a lancer that you're not going to pull if he keeps training you in a dungeon causing or nearly causing wipes, and then standing by it, and responding "If you say in chat that you will not train us anymore I will continue pulls. Can you do that for me?" But it's obvious square doesn't care. Not about customer support, or lore. or anything.
