Why aren't Wolf Marks an option?

If you gate relics behind pvp, then people aren't going to bother trying their best. Especially if people don't want to be in pvp to begin with. I don't know why some people think mixing pve content into pvp content is a good idea at all.

PvP would simply be another option. If people don't want to PvP, that's why there are 4 other methods to obtain the materials. There are certainly a large amount of people that will indeed try their best, as 1st place offers a lot more wolf marks than 3rd. And if there are players afking, then you simply kick them from the group.

Let the players whom enjoy PvP (or wish to try it out) get their relics too, and have fun while doing it.

It's not really a gate when there's already 4 other options. This is just one more that is also enjoyable. PvP grind is a bit different from PvE grind for those that enjoy PvP. There's no reason to not have the option as long as it's balanced with the other options.
