One of the most ignorant things I've ever read. They crave that negativity they thrive on it! like holy shit Do you guy think your super special? or just entitled to your demands?! incase you guys forgot it's alot of work invested in putting content into a game be thankful that they honored your request for relics and shut up already if you wanna give feedback go for it but don't be assholes about it! THE FAWK IS WRONG WITH YOU?! shut up and be happy

The majority of things I've read in game reflect the majority of things I've read here in the forums. I honestly couldn't care about it either way because the bumbling dev team make a habit of creating poor looking monk weapons to begin with. However I believe people have every right to be upset. They pushed back a content release and then to meet the pushed back deadline released old content because let's be honest they didn't actually work on any of it. A week ago they were like "durr we didn't do anything, George." and then recycled some old content and threw up some troll dialogue for the quest line to make it seem like it was their plan the entire time.
I have no problems with Relic being a massive grind and being a huge time sink before you get your reward.
What people need to understand is that we are grinding old content that we have been doing for 6 months already, aka: Alex normal. People got tired of that and burned out before even Savage came out.
I want the relic to take a long time to get, I want it to be a grind, but I also want it to be fun, not a step back to 6 months old content. Yes I know its a way to liven up old content and new players who just now are getting to unlocking Alex normal to get easier queue and gear up, I totally understand that, but it is not fun for us who been in there for months already.
Sure we can do Treasure Maps, beastmen dailies, and every extra item you get from doing that means 10 less runs in Alex out of the potential 600 runs in total we need to finish last step of the Anima.
But its old content none the less, I remember a quote from a slider SE and Yoshida showed once how they think when planing and making things for the game. "If it isn't not fun, you're doing it wrong".

What's wrong with people on the forums?
I wonder that every time I see calls for nerfs..steps of the faith..savage (oh my Lord its called savage for a reason).
Guys seriously. Yes your weapon will be outdated in 3.2. So will everyone else's none relic 210s. I as a raider don't moan when the next raid tier weap outdates my current one.
Lack of new content? Did you forget thordan, pharos, LoV..now you want even more new content right after that just to run your relic. The dev team are limited..Oh they have been using that excuse for months? Well maybe that's because they can't fill the vacancies. I feel bad for them tbh overworked then having to read all this bs on the forums.
And relic will always be a grind. It should require time to do, just like killing savage takes time and effort, then up to 8 weeks to get the gordian weap if you never see a drop.
I find it pretty funny how much the JP's General Discussion forum contrasts to the NA one, they might be quite upset too though.
Anyway, I think it's pretty upsetting that the forums is so negative, but what did I expect? Everyone to get along? Of course not, especially from the liberal nature of the internet...and the distasteful attitude of the west.
I'm not even talking about specifically of the recent patch but also of the previous ones. There have been lots of threads and posts in the past that pose a negative nature and some just feel so...entitled and very whiny?
It can't be helped at all. People have the right to be upset about this recent patch though. I understand completely why, but some threads and posts I've seen on the forums recently...I also find it quite ridiculous.
Forums make up a very small, albeit vocal, minority of any fanbase. While 99% is an obvious exaggeration to some extent, the overwhelming negativity here does not remotely represent the actual playerbase, yet you see posts speaking in absolutions how the game is dying, people are unsubbing and the end is nigh. I've seen it before, and I shall see it again. Very few ever do. They just want attention, because if they don't like something. No one else can possibly not feel the same.Do you have data for this? Of course not, because it's all just unfounded nonsense. There is still nothing to do. SE has just packaged all the old stuff we were already doing and put a slice of cheese at the end. Anyone who can't see this, is deluded. There is a difference between being "positive" and being a stooge.
Forums are generally used for feedback.
It is usually the only form players have to communicate with the developers, make themselves heard.
This is pretty standard I don't understand the surprise.
Ingame chat is temporary, forums serve as a "registry" for the devs to read feedback. At least I'm not familiar with devs reading feedback from ingame chat, that would be too confusing.
It's normal for people to give their feedback on the forum and not ingame in every game. It's not "the vocal minority", it's the standard place to give feedback.
Last night on Lamia, there were about 12 PFs up, mostly FATEs in the HW areas for the relics, some recruiting for unsynced dungeons for the relics. Starting today, I expect PFs of Alexander grind groups to start appearing.
MTE. The only thing that is kind of annoying to me is that everyone has the same opinion, but they all want to make their own threads about it. GD has so many "this is why AW isn't worth its salt" threads. I only found one AW thread in the Japanese forums while perusing to see what the JP fanbase had to say about AW and I only found one thread (granted I wasn't scouring the forums; just kind of going over it quickly to find AW threads).
