What is wrong with people on the forum..?

I am sure this has already been stated, but, just in case, why are you on here complaining?

There is less crying in game. And way more people having fun working on it all.

Sounds like a typical, "well I don't see it happening, then it must not be happening." I was out on Idlly for an hour or two (waiting for raid) and people were talking about how bad the relic weapon quest is. It is happening in game too. Just because this isn't /2 in WoW where people can easily talk, doesn't mean that it is not happening.

Anyways, also, for the White Knights out there, people are really not all the mad at the actual progression of the Relic. What they are upset about is that they had to wait almost 6 months for something that they could've been working on at the start of the expansion. Most are seeing it that the Devs were just lazy and try to "extend" content to further milk subscription fees. I mean, everyone could've already had their ilvl 200 Relic by now (seeing that it only take 2 weeks to get ilvl 200 eso isn't too ridiculous), and could've started working on the real grind today (the players with Zeta's would've gotten their ilvl 170 weapon practically after hitting level 60).

I am saying that it is not the grind that is really pissing people off, but instead how Yoshi P. and Co. handled release of the content. They waited over 6 months for this, and everything is just a rehash of old content. If this is your thing, they this is what you are going to get for ever patch and expansion coming. And I have a feeling that we all might have seen this coming with ThEX, because that fight was just a rehash of nothing but old mechanics.

That's fascinating considering it's basically identical to the previous relic questline.

I don't really see people compaining about it being time consuming - people are compaining about it being boring, repetitive, and unimaginative... all of which are undeniably true. Its literally atma, old dungeon grinding, and buying expensive items ALL OVER AGAIN.

I don't like to be negative, but I did hope the devs would be more imaginative than that.

Holy hyperbole, Batman! Just a little advice, if you're trying to sway people to your way of thinking, avoid blatantly made-up statistics; it instantly undermines anything you say after that point.

And lastly, it's a reminder to all the people who are disappointed, furious and/or feeling entitled here. That you should sit back and slowly think about what this MMO gives you and what other MMOs offer.

Okay... so what exactly is Square offering at this point with this MMO? I'm sitting back and slowly thinking about this right now! Is this grindfest supposed to actually be enticing me? Am I supposed to be excited at the concept of grinding my brains out for a i210 weapon? Mind you, I come from a world well-versed in the grind; I was a FFXI player for around 7 years. The difference, however, is that even though that game's grind was RNG hell and quite honestly pretty cruel at times, the payoff was gear that would still remain relevant for years to come.

This game's extreme vertical progression will probably be its downfall. Why would I waste so much time and effort grinding for this relic when it will probably be made obsolete (or at the very least, so-so) within 2 months tops? I completed the dungeon portion of the relic tonight and then looked up the next step, and saw the absurdity with all the HQ crafting stuff. And what did I do? Shake my head and turn off the game and went and played Fallout.

It's not like the grind is fun, either. If you want to finish the relic quickly enough so that it's still a relevant weapon, then you're forced to almost treat this game like a second job, grinding constantly for hours on end. If you take your time and just get to it when you get to it (i.e. the casual way), then it's all wasted time because by the time you get close to finishing they will inevitably be rolling out an alternative weapon that's easier to get (I'm totally waiting for the update where they'll be adding the eso weapon's upgrade item to the Void Ark fold). And it's not like I'm making this up because this is exactly what they've done in the past and they've made no indication of stopping this.

lol... if there isn't much to do anymore, why would "more people sub in your place"? I mean, I suppose it'll take a new person a little while to realize there's not really enough sustaining stuff in this game once you've exhausted all the premium content (story, primals, that stuff), but they'll drop it eventually too.

What's interesting about people like you that get unnerved that someone else has issues with the game, is you don't realize that when people are vocal about their discontent that's the only way a developer can realize they've missed the mark with something they've done. If you just bit your tongue and didn't speak up, then they would assume whatever new content they added is fine and dandy, which this surge of reactions is clearly indicating is not the case.

People pay subscriptions for this game, they are entitled to share their views. If you can't seem to deal with that then maybe perhaps you should take a break from the forums. Perhaps go get a nice coffee and reminisce about the game you love that you don't play because there isn't much to do anymore.

Christ sake look people need to stop telling others to unsub because it is not going to solve anything.

Could we be more open to discussions RATHER than giving being half baked answer like if you are unhappy with things unsub since youre just one person and you mean nothing to SE? I have recruited 13 friends from my previous game and 7 friends when i came back recently, so am I completely insignificant? People mightve been rude to you but this guy wasnt alright.

While this is true, I can't be the only one wondering why they didn't design the relic quests more like they did the original upgrade quest? Fighting chimera, then hydra, then the HM primals Defending Hamlets, doing dungeon super speed-runs, collecting beastmen coins, doing some battle leves and guildhests, spiritbind the unfinished weapon up to 100% solo, fighting against ifrit (extrem) at the end (in gear not better than Darklight) ....that was fun!

This incredible negativity All I see here are pages upon pages of people crying and throwing a fit over how demanding and too time-consuming the new relic quests are, after whining a truckload worth of threads about how they the relic quests to be time-consuming.

sadly this is how babies are...they aren't happy when SE and DEV team doesn't give em what they want then they get pissy and complain when they do get what they want they want to complain that the quests were too short or too time consuming....And as much as those of us that are just content with the fact that SE and the DEV team are even putting new stuff in to enjoy they won't stop B*tching about it.

Not true. The base relic in 2.0 required a pittance of tomes and zero RNG. It could be completed as soon as you could kill Titan. Getting the +1 (Zenith) required 3 weeks of tomes, but that's barely even a grind and certainly nothing on the scale that we get now.

You mean the nerfed down base relic quests. Look at the original relic questlines from 1.x to see the similarities to the current relic grinds.
