What is wrong with people on the forum..?

Why would anyone do that? World of Final Fantasy looks adorable and I am super stoked for Kingdom Hearts III. I don't want their budget to get cut.

Last night there were about 80 from my FC on.... Not a single one was complaining about relics... not one. A few of them had already grind it out from scratch and were working on step 3.

The forum complaints really are a minority. And if you unsub because of an optional weapon in a very small patch... well then you weren't happy to begin with and nothing short of a full on expansion with new raid content would have made you happy. So in that case dont let the door hit you on the way out.

Another issue I see with the complaints is that it take too long, this is the instant gratification crowd. It's supposed to be time consuming... the most time consuming in the game, always has been always will.

If you look closely at the complaints, people don't complain because they have to commit time into a weapon but rather that :

a) they are burn out with the content related with the relic.
b) the stats on relics are boring, and the weapons will become irrelevant soon, which kinda make the weapon not worth the effort.
c) The relic quest is litteraly copy-pasted from what was implemented in 2.0 (which kinda already caused an uproar).
d) no new content is tied to the relic.

People were expecting more, SE didn't deliver.

Also, most players in my FC, even the most ardent defenders of FFXIV since the release of 1.0, were complaining.

It boggles my mind, how all those white knights here simply look over the core issue. People are NOT complaining about the grind. We expected this. We're fine with it. We are complaining about there being NOTHING else besides the grind of outdated, recycled content. No one would even bat an eyelid if they released a major patch beforehand with plenty of content or a relic grind that at least holds up the appearences instead of blatantly stating: "We didn't want to invest time or money at this point. So have your grindfest started in old content and fates. Our applicant needed a whole 10 minutes to c&p it, so better be grateful!"

You can pretend everything's fine as much as you want. But the fact remains, that the "content" of Heavensward isn't even enough for 2 months. Even more so for over half a year.

Competitors for other mmo. Or fans of other memo, can't tell you how many ff11 players joined wow to rag on the forums lol. A few ppl in my old ls did it.

People really should stop with the whole "copy/pasta" content bs...

name 1 video game that Did not have repeated content. Name 1 mmo that more or less had a make over EVERY expax. I personally can't think of any.

This is a space to tell the developers of the service we are subscribing to know what we don't like so they can fix it and keep us interested in what they're selling.

I don't care about giving them a pat on their back like a couple of pals at a bar, we are not. If I sub for next month, they'll now they did a job good enough, if not, this is where they can go to to know why.

When the forum is inundated with nothing but petulant whining and little in the way of constructive criticism. Do you actually think they bother reading it? In fact, most companies explicitly advise against their employees reading forums, be it video games, sports or any industry, all due to how overwhelmingly negative and shitty people can be online.
