Yes this is how it works. One person voice might not matter but you don't need a organized movement. Just look at 1.0 that wasn't a organized movement people thought the game sucked so they left, there wasn't some leader directing traffic.Oh yeah, this is a great idea. I stopped buying Pepsi because I didn't like the taste and what do you know, within a few weeks they changed it and it's my favorite soda now! This is absolutely how any company ever works without any kind of organized movement. Give me a break. OP wants to voice their displeasure as do many others and it's their right AS customers to do so.
It's completely untrue that you would have to grind nonstop for a month to do this. You gain enough Law and Poetics to get the weapon after roughly 40 days worth of daily Roulettes, which is 2-3 hours of play daily (if even that). That's without factoring in any of the additional ways to gain the tokens, which you can focus on at your pleasure and easily have the weapon within about one month.
3.2 is also rather likely to be out in mid-to-late February, rather than January.
For me it isn't that the relic is grindy, it is that the relic is just rehashed content. Where is the uniqueness? Where is the excitement of exploration and adventuring?
Why can't they add things like "For a drg, you need to do X" and "For monk, you need to do y" have some personal challenges like "While in this dungeon, with this weapon equipped, you can't use these abilities." or "Defeat these primals with this weapon but no other gear on" .. really anything you might be able to think of, would be better than "Your weapon's soul needs to fight strong monsters to get stronger. Go do these dungeons.." Also, what NPC doesn't like Gil? Seriously no wonder why she has no customers.. >.>
Spoiler: Also.. (not exactly on point) Rowena wants me to help her make a blueprint for the Anima weapon so she can sell them.. Sell my weapon! >.> and all I get is a free weapon? bah! I did all the godsdamned work! I want a bigger cut or no dice.

In my time playing other games. I have had a hoot in WoW (i ignored warlords but Legion looks great), and trying out blade and soul.
In any case, I don't have fun in FFXIV anymore, which is sad. I had high hopes--but the developers got lazy and complacent, and once that happens its really hard to recover. You would imagine after 1.0 they would have learned that lesson.
Lol that part at 3:06
it's funny because a ton of people on this forum would defend that and just say crap like "Have you got all your jobs to 60? Have you got all your achievements? Have you unlocked all primal mounts? did you beat AS4 yet? No? then don't complain :^)"
