Yeah I saw this! While it's meant as a joke, it does really hit the nail on the head. I just think it's incredible that a company thinks they can delay the release of a product (this patch) for MONTHS and then release it in such a horrible state. It's a joke, really.

Thats just your opinion, nearly all of PF on balmung is relic related, so clearly its not the popular opinion either. My fc has been making fun of the forums for complaining so much about the relics, most of us are working on them without caring that its grindy

A lot of people are doing the relic and bitching about it the entire way. That's a sure-fire way to cause burn out which can only be bad for the game.

It was like this with atmas, and nexus, and zodiak too, and the game didnt decline or lose subs, even though the forums were just as ragey as now.

Actually it was. For every patch. You just see undersized and fate parties in pf is all.

From multiple people who transferred to my server recently. I transferred recently too and populace difference between old and new server is staggering.

Well as magical as Balmung is and as the destination server (supposedly 1k paid transfers). We have actually had non maintenance character creation open in the last month. The PF thing just popped clicked and 9/25 are people partying for new weapons. Still have N than Costa fates, housing, savage, and diadem stuff.

The actual weapon process doesn't make me sad. It is the way they have gone about stuff. Just man up and say " Relics are what we used to fill dead content." IE fates, spirit binding, crafting, old dungeons, and beastmen tribes. People can respect honesty and straight forwardness. They can't respect the way they have gone about implementing content since housing failure.
