"Fun comes first"

What happened to this philosophy, SE? You've created content that:

1) Should have been released the same time as Alexander normal
2) Has us grinding the same crap we've been grinding for the past 6 months
3) Re-uses the same ideas which had a massive negative influence on the game as a whole (FATE grinding, atmas)
4) Yoshi-P himself even said he would not want to do this content. If that's the case, WHY MAKE IT?

I believe SE should worry more about making a game that's FUN, not just a game that has boring, thoughtless grinds to keep us subscribed.

I'm having fun too. My party finder is full of relic hunters and I mean full. My FC is chasing fates and more. It hasn't been this busy in weeks. The 10 dungeon clear was fun and easy. Stage 3 will be a grind but with daily roulettes and lots of things i normally do to level roles it won't be bad at all. I don't need the relic in two weeks.

I'm not having fun with this. In fact, this is the least I've ever enjoyed the game.

I did think of that image the first time I heard that Yoshi said that about the new relic. It really should have made him stop to think. It really really really should have made him think about it.


It really should be a grind like climbing a mountain and the accomplishment of doing that, and seeing the next mountain (relic 3.2) to climb, not the grind of cleaning 10,000 porta-potties, only to see 10,000 more to clean after.

LOL, doing the quest now... even the model for my weapon is reused... could you possibly put less effort into making these quests...

Yeah I saw this! While it's meant as a joke, it does really hit the nail on the head. I just think it's incredible that a company thinks they can delay the release of a product (this patch) for MONTHS and then release it in such a horrible state. It's a joke, really.

Thats just your opinion, nearly all of PF on balmung is relic related, so clearly its not the popular opinion either. My fc has been making fun of the forums for complaining so much about the relics, most of us are working on them without caring that its grindy

A lot of people are doing the relic and bitching about it the entire way. That's a sure-fire way to cause burn out which can only be bad for the game.
