The previous relics were at least doable in a timeframe that gave you a couple of months with the weapon. Unless you grind this weapon out non-stop for the next month you will never get to use this relic before 3.2 gives us better.

It's completely untrue that you would have to grind nonstop for a month to do this. You gain enough Law and Poetics to get the weapon after roughly 40 days worth of daily Roulettes, which is 2-3 hours of play daily (if even that). That's without factoring in any of the additional ways to gain the tokens, which you can focus on at your pleasure and easily have the weapon within about one month.
3.2 is also rather likely to be out in mid-to-late February, rather than January.
Its as if you guys forgot that the final Anima weapon will be the best weapon in the game for the 5-6 month period between 3.X's final patch and 4.0.
That's why you do it now. Sure you'll replace it 3 weeks into 3.2, but then you'll grind and use it again for 3.25 and so on.

Which will be irrelevant when 4.0 comes off and we will wait another 6 months after that launch to do a diferent named atma, fate and dungeon grind. Its not a goal problem, its not a time problem, its straight quality, care, love and innovation (lack of them all) problem. Its as if you guys forgot that the final Anima weapon will be the best weapon in the game for the 5-6 month period between 3.X's final patch and 4.0.

And in FFXI a 10+ year old game relic weapons nearly that old are still good to use even with newer cotent out. Something FFXIV should be doing as well but failing miserably. Its as if you guys forgot that the final Anima weapon will be the best weapon in the game for the 5-6 month period between 3.X's final patch and 4.0.

And then the steps gets nerfed. And grinding a month worth for each 0.5 patch and then getting a weapon that completely outclasses it the next patch is by no means logical. I played ff11 for years the "relic" weapons there, though tedious lasted for really long. Its as if you guys forgot that the final Anima weapon will be the best weapon in the game for the 5-6 month period between 3.X's final patch and 4.0.

Imagine this,
3.15, grind a month to enjoy i210 weapons for maybe a month.
3.20 gives i220 gears.
3.25, grind another month for the new relic upgrade.
3.30, gives i230,i240 gears.
3.35, grind another month for new relic upgrade.

4.0 - 2-3months of grind in total which maybe can be used for the first 4-6 levels? Nerf relic steps. Repeat.
Lets be honest, Beast tribe quests are a pain to do. Throwing us back to do the same dungeons we've done for a year & for our zeta & relic, and Alexander (which we've done for like what 5-6months? while waiting for 3.1) sounds lazy to many, and this is why players are enraged.

You guys are severely over-exaggerating how long Anima grind will be.
