EDIT2: Important hard to get items should never have literally identical icons to vendor trash that we've been used to selling or even discarding since day 1.

That Atma grind is nothing compared to step 3. I have no idea what developer would ever think that step is okay. It's another HQ crafted item turn-in quest with an insane grind to acquire the other half of the items.

Then do alex savage for your 210. Or Thordan and be happy with a 205. Sadly, the way this game is designed, there are exactly 2 options. Beat incredibly difficult content, or grind away.

At least for those of us that did the Zeta, there is no random crap. Thank goodness. I'm fine with a good old grind. Still easier than getting the first epic weapons in EQ1. Well, except necromancer, that one was ridiculously easy.

I kinda think its very over repeative tho... I dont mind grinding for something but this much o_0 I say just tone it down a little bit. Don't take it all the way away from us just tweek it some.

Truthfully, I think the level it's at is fine. Considering you're getting a weapon that is equal to what you'd get for beating AS4, it shouldn't be any easier than this. And, I mean, it's only a grind if you make it one. If you need to have it as soon as possible, and are willing to devote your entire life to hunts and maps and alex all day long, yeah, that's an intense grind. On the other hand, you can just do your 12 beast dailies every day and and get it done with very little effort, albeit over the course of 87 days, assuming you don't do a single other thing. Or, you can do what I'll probably do. do the dailies, and supplement it with some alex and hunts and law and poetics, when I have the time. My point is this, it's only as big of a grind as you -choose- to make it.

No. No it's not. The fact that it's a grind is bad enough, but it's a grind at multiple levels. The purchases of these items is supposed to be you can do A, B, C, or D to get the items when in fact players see this as "we HAVE to do A, B, C, and D to get this" because anyone one single method is insane if it is the only method used. The biggest issue I have with this is the crafted items. It's just not acceptable. Sixteen high quality items from crafting specialist recipes using mats from other crafting specialist recipes is ludicrous. I don't see these ever reaching a point where they're accpetably priced. And as bad as this is for one weapon I can't even fathom doing a second.

It's probably cheaper to pay for A4S clears than an anima weapon, given the prices of the crafted stuff.

Then honestly, that's what people should do. Though I don't see a point. If you aren't planning on seriously doing endgame, there is no reason, at all, beyond pure ego that a person needs a 210 weapon. I do not believe this is a matter of opinion.
