You're missing the point. FFXI's relic grind was huge yes... but what did you get out of it? A weapon the would be BIS for YEARS, a weapon that gave tons of stats and traits, as well totally new weapon skills. The reward was WORTH the grind. It makes me cringe. Like I have said before I feel bad for those who enjoy doing it. Only to have it so quickly replaced.
