The REAL reason that Anima sucks

Ok, so I know this isn't the only reason, but it's the reason that people are missing with the new relic quest.

As we all (hopefully) know by now is that Anima is the biggest grind that we have in the relic chain, essentially taking the Atma step, a boatload of dungeons, and the Zodiac step on crack, and smashing them into one long relic quest, which understandably has overwhelmed a lot of people, but I think if you to imagine if this had come out in 3.05 rather than 3.15, it starts to become a little more bearable.

I feel that it was a HUGE mistake delaying relic this long, and honestly, with the recycled content, I cannot see why it was delayed. the 3.0 gear cycle has been going for 6-7 months now, thats a huge stretch of time for a gear cycle and in that time a lot of people have already gotten their gordian weapons, their upgraded eso weapons, and to a lesser extent, their thordan weapons. What this has done is it has devalued the relic significantly because plenty of people ALREADY had a better weapon weeks or months ago, and honestly its too late.

I hope someone can enlighten me as to why the playerbase should suffer through the grindfest (not even that, its also a huge tome/gil/token sink) when 3.2 and the new gear cycle is just around the corner, and the time when i210 was a distant goal to shoot for was several months ago.

Edit: clarification on some things - relic is poorly timed, not necessarily a failure from its core, I don't care about the grind, I just think that structure of releasing gear and the difficulty in getting it is random and is very destructive to the playerbase (i210 gear is easy to get now, oh... wait what?). This could have been avoided by having an easier relic now, and the 3.2 relic be this exact step, with a tonne of time to enjoy it.
