half a year for what? for an i210 weapon? and when you get it they're gonna release the next upgrade grindfest that require more grinding for 3-4 months to make it i220. it's not worth it, especially for jobs that have improper secondary stats on the weapon.

The stats will probably become adjustable as it creates an extra demand for the weapon over time and is what made zeta bis. As it sits now the drk relic is full crit/det so I'm happy.

My PLD relic is SS and parryI was planning on getting to at least awoken, but my old i200 eso weapon is better than it.

This. The first relic was exactly like that. Stats became adjustable later on (same with getting a glowing effect and even changing the base look of the weapon, twice.). I feel like alot of people are complaining for the sake of complaining...

Mostly because the dungeons selected are ones that new players have the hardest time getting into.

I added an edit to the original post as a lot of you seem to be missing the point

OP is right. Everyones missing the point. We all knew the new relic would be a grind. What is making it seem so much worse is the fact it came so late. Had this been released shortly after 3.0 or maybe even with 3.1 it wouldn't seem so bad. We would have had ample time to do the grind and enjoy having the relic completed for now while it was actually worth having. Now by time this step is completed it will be useless compared to the new gear in 3.2. There will be no time to enjoy your relic and appreciate the grind it took to get.

But thats just it. I don't mind it at all. I will still be enjoying it. I don't think it makes it worse and I don't adhere with the premise that the OP is putting forward (especially saying that the Anima weapon sucks, as per thread title). Yes it would have been cooler to get it sooner. But as it is, I don't mind at all.

Thank you! I didn't want this to devolve into a thread about hating the grind, and wanted to approach this from a different angle (in a bubble, I do respect the relic quest for what it is, but within the context of where the game is right now, thats a different story), I'm glad someone understood what i was trying to sayOP is right.
