I love the look of the new gun!![]()

It better not be nerfed. Relic should be a long time commitment to do when at you're own pace. You will finish it before the next step comes out even if you ate the most casual player.
Even if you were to do at your own pace ,you're looking at around at least 4 hours spent on dailies, beast tribes, maps and the such to get it done without any outside assistance (esp as a dps queue). Chances are you won't be done by the time 3.2 hits unless you hit all those dailies (and if you're spending that much time per day, I wouldn't consider that to be "casual").
And while there's no problem with relic being a "long time commitment", the current state of the game isn't exactly a good time to do just that for your average, long-time player.

Without Gauss Barrel I kinda like the gun from an aesthetics point of view.

Yea stick to thordan gun till u get Gordian gun.
But I still recommend doing relic as a future investment. Eventually in future relic updates we will be able to change the stats. Yay materia v melding please look forward to it lol.

The relic is not for everyone. This argument was brought up when the atma questline started and required the 9 books in all its grindy glory. I found parties forming to scout out for all the fates as they spawned. People forming parties for light farming and tons of activity shot up. I enjoyed the original relic-zeta and will enjoy this. It allows crafters to finally make some nice gil minus material for relevant high end pieces of gear.
The relic was going to be about the same approach and most people I know saw it coming a mile away.
