Am I the only one who liked the books?
Not the FATE part.. but even then it wasn't RNG it was "wait then do this FATE" so it wasn't too bad.
My least favorite part will always and forever be gathering all that damned Alexandrite.

We're talking about it because we CAN'T play it yet. I'm assuming everyone in this thread is refreshing the main page while waiting for an "early completion time" message, while babbling about the thing they are waiting for.
We aren't solving problems with discussion, we're killing time.
FATE books were pretty bad on release. The amount of time people spent farming Brayflox Longstop to get the required Tomestones to buy a single book, then the fact that you had to:
Kill 10x of each enemy (Waiting on respawns 3 times)
Defeat 3 leves (Sometimes having to do extra to get the one you needed to spawn)
Doing 3 FATE's (Sometimes waiting over 5 hours for a pop)
Doing 3 dungouns (Was a lot worst on DPS que-wise back then, can do it unsynched now)
This made it a huge chore and a huge grind. The sheer number of them saw it being one of the longest steps for slowly updating stats. Tag this on that it came right after Atma - a step that required heavy grinding of FATE's for no reward (stats don't raise and I don't consider a cosmetic ilevel upgrade to be a reward.) ... yea, I can see how they hate it.
Yeah, I remember... I'm pretty sure the tome cost had been nerfed by the time I got to it but the requirements were still there.
It was MUCH better than the Atma FATE drop part, like a breath of fresh air...
"Sure this'll take a fuckton of time but at least it's doing something" instead of "Man I just did four hours of FATEs and....still don't have that Atma"
So I guess what I'm saying is I'd take like five steps of the books over randomly waiting for something to drop from a FATE.

There's data mined info on fates for low % drop rates on atma, lv50 dungeons and HW leveling dungeons and i think Alex normal mode. So pretty much all we hated.
Is that trully new content ? Cause last time I checked the fates were already in the game.
I don t know ? Maybe something like relic specific content instead of having to farm on something which has been in the game since 3.0 ?What exactly are people hoping for?
Jeah it really feels like "let´s forcefully revive all this dead content"
plus, some relic related Recieps showed up which i guess will be for full-geared specialists, or in other words "let´s shove some gils again to the 0.5% endgame crafters"
Never a mind was changed on an internet board, no matter how good your arguments are...
Some people that dug around says its at least the atma part is skippable with zeta so thank god its that part at least...
