You get a replica. The Zeta has no value beyond glamour, so I don't see the angst about it becoming glamour.

yes you can use any Zeta. I believe this was asked in some letter/whatever quite recently and its to help the new jobs specifically who couldn't have one on their job.

I hope so cause I played a drg at start of and had zeta 3.0 but then switched to mnk and lacked motivation to grind a second zeta for my new main class.

The 300+ hours is the value. A replica won't replace that. Neither will a trash skip.

If the first step actually is the Atma step, I'll skip the hell out of it. I'll also finally finish my BRD Zeta just so I can skip it again on AST after I finish my BLM one >.>

Shouldn't you think of the zeta is improving or having use now again?

Then don't use it, let it just sit in your retainers inventory gathering dust while working on the new one. I'm using mine to skip the step; mainly to see what happens differently with the dialogue in the questline.

It's almost like bashing your head for 300+ hours trying to beat Alexander Savage and get full 210 w/ 210 weapon. and in 3.2 they'll be replaced
