you know there will be eventually, maybe not this step or the next.. but eventually. It was a good gil sink, of which the game does not have enough. I suspect it will be a larger sink this time when it comes.

I think if there was some small distinction on the Anima Weapon or in the quest based on your trade-in, I would be more willing to overlook it.

The reality is that for a lot of people, their relic has been with them for a while and they worked hard to get it. There is a sense of partnership and ownership. To forsake that and trade it in to get the exact same item that other people will get with only a slight discount on investment leaves a pretty bitter taste in your mouth.

I'd be fine if it said on the Anima weapon "crafted from the fabled Zodiac weapon, ______." An extra perk like a different color glow or something would also be nice. Something that would show a visible sense of remembrance and not some forgettable quest skip.

I wonder if the reason why the names aren't know is becuase they actually don't have names? What if they are willing to allow us to name our own Anima relics? (Yeah I know is is likely wishful thinking)

No, he's going to give us the weapon at the START of the quest. Then he's going to force us to pay him back for it, holding all other rewards ransom until we do.

And we do Mean all. Buy something off MB? too bad, it;s his now. finnaly Got a Pony after 100 EX Primals? Now its his property. Managed to be one of the lucky few that won a coffin lid/wind up enchida? lolnope need to pay off that debt first. Leveling an alt? Sorry exp gets converted to gil to pay off your debt (100000 exp=1 gil). plot relevant items needed to finish the MSQ? currently in his pocket. CRAFTING? Gee thanks for making that expensive item for him.

Oh and he's gonna upgrade the weapon for us when we paid off half out debt. At least we get a title. "The Retainer"
