Please return Chat System to the way it was before Patch

While I am gathering I can not hit spacebar to open Chat Tab to chat with my friends, I have to wait till I am done gathering, this makes it very difficult to communicate, please return it back to the chat system before patch where I could hit spacebar anytime to open chat window

Get in the habit of pressing / followed by the channel you want to talk to. Its the only thing that's managed to remain true throughout the evolution of this game.

Excellent! When I first realised this I was annoyed, then I found the /+backspace control. Now however, because I gather so freakin' much, I've gotten into the habit of hitting backspace after hitting / every time, which has caused, on more than one occasion, for me to tell someone "clap" or "bow" or "gcsalute." It's very embarrassing.

I got so used to CTRL+(letter) to chat this rarely bothered me, but I know some guys just HAVE to hit spacebar. Glad to hear it's getting fixed!

Make sure they fix the bug where clicking on the screen with the mouse deletes any text entered in the chat edit box too!

This also happens if you press a command while you craft. Highly annoying!

in the meantime, I have found that hitting "/" will work just as well as spacebar except you have to delete the "/" or CTRL to something else (or /p /t /l /etc)

I also noticed another issue regarding the chat system. I'm not sure if it's caused by the same bug.

The keyboard type of [EN, US-International] used to work for me, and I used it for entering French accent marks; however it stopped working as of patch 1.19.

For instance, I type:
J' ai parl'e fran'cais.
And it should come out as:
J'ai parlé français.
But instead you get:
J ai parle francais.

Also, if you type something like: I'll be right back.
You get: Ill be right back.
