Anyone been having this issue

I have been getting a couple of issues that may be similar?

1. Game will freeze for a second, screen goes black for a second, then it resumes.

2. Game will crash and a Direct X 11 error occurred. (One condition for this, is that I must have waited in a DPS queue for at least 10-20 minutes before crashing).

I assumed both are related to SLI as I recently installed a 2nd GTX 970

I had something similar where it would freeze for a second and then act like nothing happened (like a stutter), a number of days of recent - but my window wouldn't turn black. Luckily it's usually just been when I'm sitting outside the FC house, derping around, and not doing anything of import. I recently updated video card drivers after (finally) updating to Windows 10, so I just assumed it was that - and doesn't do it during dungeons/trials.

I've also recently noticed my graphical settings randomly changing the settings of the skill graphics display settings from 'All' to 'Self only' (I'll turn it back to 'All', save, everything be fine for a few days and then it'll happen again). I would come out of dungeons (which I've been seeing normal skill graphics from everyone all during) then sit in the FC house after mending...and if someone happens to use a skill, I'll notice no effect come from it, only their character's motions.
Doesn't happen every time, but... happens really randomly and usually after coming out of a dungeon.

Anyone else seen this?
I'm assuming it's once again from the updated drivers, or the GeForce application for gaming optimization that came with the computer/graphics card doing it itself (though, I've had the comp/application for half a year and only now started doing this) >_> Though, this may have started only a few days prior to my last vid drivers update (last Fri), now that I think about it...

I had this happened b4 and at times would have to hard restart my pc, it ended up being my video card going out
