How much time would you say on average is wasted waiting on cool downs in a 2-3 hour period? I'd have to guess at least 30+ minutes no?

Yeah I would guess at least 30 minutes. One of the big issues is that not only do you wait for the cooldown, but then someone goes afk because your waiting, gets distracted, whatever, then suddenly there goes another person since the other was afk and so one until oh hey 10 minutes went by. And this gets worse the more time your spending because people get frustrated and bored.
An average of 5.3 hours per raid night wasted waiting on cooldowns (assuming 200 minutes of actual raid pulls). Three to five times a week is ~21 hours of collected human life wasted per week waiting on cooldowns.
Devs how is this a good thing?
My life while tanking is an existential hell from which there is no escape.
skills. ..but what about potions?
is frustrating using food that last 30min and u can only "use it" for 15min , waiting for skills on CD and what not....
food 2h duration <can i have it?> <yes, please>

Good point about the foods, having to wait for cooldowns over and over gives it a false "length of use".
I'll bump for this.
Living Liquid would like to say hello as he high-fives your team's CDs into oblivion.
Now, don't get me wrong, at most our team is usually waiting a minute, maybe two for minimum potion time so it'll be reset by the time we use it. But tank CDs are longer. I've personally never had an issue waiting slightly but again, I've had to do plenty of pulls before Battle Voice was ready again.
I still can't recall if WoW truly resets everything after a wipe (just never bothered to watch after death) but there, your longest CDs are for the most part are shortened to about 3 minutes max.
Maybe put it in 8-man / full party content only.
Maybe specific raids only ala Coil and Alexander.
Maybe put a 1 minute minimum engagement period on the fight to pass, THEN reset CDs if a wipe happens. This would prevent instant pull-death abuse.
Plenty of ideas of how this could be done in a fair and safe manner that wouldn't be abused.
The-Real-Link!
Don't even need that. For there to be "abuse" there has to be some kind of benefit at the end that is game-breaking. And there just simply isn't the possibility of that.
Hello Devs! You owe me gil for every minute of wasted food time between pulls for CD's/HP/MP/TP.
Stop it.
I've lost track of how many countless hours I've lost to waiting for cooldowns to reset by now.
Agreed. No reason why it can't be reset on wipe in raids.
