Um, considering we're talking about cooldown reset upon wiping, you'd have to go in and get killed to abuse such a thing. Waste of time and repair. The devs have always cited balance reasons for refusing to put this in (and taking so long to implement zero-cooldown for changing jobs in all sanctuaries).
The only balance reason I can think of is potion abuse by gatherers - pop a cordial hit a node, instant queue a raid/trial as a full group, leave instance, oh look potion cooldown is reset and no penalties. and if it worked unsynced? oh baby wouldn't even need a group to abuse the system.
Could make it so cooldown release wouldn't kick in until at least a 3-minute battle (like Echo), but regardless cordials seem a likely culprit.
This is a very reasonable suggestion. Not saying that just because WoW has it we should but.. they added this in WoW a couple xpacs ago because the developers realized it was just a nuisance to make players have to wait on cooldowns before pulls.

Please keep the likes and support coming lets make them see we want this changed.

Keep posts and support going folks lets get this changed.

I agree, it sucks waiting for HG and wasting our raid time we dedicate plus our food.

I thought they said they'd "think about it".
Maybe. MAYBE they haven't done it because resetting cooldowns will speed up progression. Which, if true, is sad that making progression slightly longer is more important than the quality of the raiding experience.
Recently returned player.

No offense, but this is a relatively simple quality of life change that has been done and well received on other MMOs...
It's not being casual. It's cutting on IDLE TIME, which isn't fun.
