Signed as well! Nothing is more irritating than someone messing up in the first minute of a fight, then we all have to sit around for another 2-4 minutes because cooldowns. -.-

Merry bumpmass.

Bumping for staying in the light, appreciate your comments keeping it on the front page!

I'd really like an official response that this has been posted to the devs, but I think they are still away for christmas
I see the reason to want this but I also think it's asking to much. It's like playing Bloodborne and losing all your echos on a boss and you ask the devs to make it where you don't lose them practicing the fight. It's the penalty for death.
This currently only has the skills not resetting as it's only death penalty. You don't lose exp or gil, and gear destruction isn't even revelant. Granted these fights kill everyone if one person messes up which is harsh I'll agree. There has to be a death penalty sadly, which is why I think SE hasn't addressed this in the past.
There is a penalty for death, which is that you die and don't get to continue living until you res. I really don't see the rational for anything more than that in a raid setting. This currently only has the skills not resetting as it's only death penalty. The penalty actually is lost time. When you are spending days wiping and learning your losing out on time you could be doing something else, in game or real life. Your also losing gil or time from buying or crafting food and pots, as well as gear destruction. Plus, people are quitting raiding because of how much time it takes waiting around for buffs. More people would keep at it if they could just keep trying without having to sit there and do nothing over and over and over. I think they want people to actually play the content, yes?
That's a knock out penalty, the fight continues and you suffer a small stat reduction, which still doesn't rest cds. This is entirely different from the entire fight resetting upon everyone being knocked out, which is essentially game over in this case.
bump for 2016

Signed, nothing takes the fun out of raiding quite like making sure everyone has their CD's up, which is usually around 2-3 minutes, just have em reset when you release.
Its a QoL change that is long overdue imo.
