Living Macro Guide

So as part of revamping my youtube channel content I put together a macro guide video and Google doc (links below) that I want to keep as a "living" document for all the healers out there. The document isn't meant to have every macro that you have on your bar but rather every type of macro you might want to use that illustrates the capabilities of the macro system and its benefits.

For example you may have the same targeting macro for both aero and aero II with the only difference being the spell. No need for that to be two entries in the document. But versions showing mouse over versus target of target or @ focus target would be fine.

I want to also have little snippets of explanation where needed and will have the accompanying video (updated periodically) be for more in depth discussion of those things in the document as well as some in game examples of use.

I did recently make a video about the macro system flaw where it doesn't play nice with spell queing and touch on it in the macro guide briefly but I want this to cover casual to elite so that we have one consolidated resource for healers, so I don't want to simply say that macro use is bad when there are many more nuances to it than that.

If you think something needs to be added / amended you can either leave a comment on the video (checked frequently) or here on the forums in response to this post (checked about 1/week).

I'm also currently working on my outlines for the three updated healer guides and should hopefully be starting work on those later this week and would like to maybe follow a similar format if this goes well!

/macrolock on the last line doesn't work (unless it has <wait.n>). You should write it on the first line.

/macrolock
ALIASES:
　/macrolock, /mlock
USAGE:
　/macrolock

→Prevents the execution of any additional macros until all steps following /macrolock have been executed.

You should write /macroicon on the last line because it delays following codes (16.7 ms in 60 fps or 33.3 ms in 30 fps).

Thank you for this. I have drastically updated the document (and am still working on parts) based on feedback about presentation and information. I have updated the macroicon portion and added a note about the delay (I hadn't seen that before) I have also noted to update the information on using macrolock when I get to updating those.
