Bard doesn't have magic involved in generating arrows. It's just quietly ignored, because constantly having to buy ammo just to play is a pain in the ass.
Bard's skills get updated into Magic created Arrows in the 6.0 version of their skills. The Bard arrows are now all 100% Magic Arrows created by their Magic once they are level 80 even the Burst Shot (6.0 version of Heavy Shot) is pure Blue Energy Magic arrow.
Yes they started out as using normal wood made arrows but their Skill upgrades moved them into Magic Arrows with 6.0 bring Bard into the 100% Magic Arrow now with their lvl 71 to 80 Skill Upgrades and animation changes with those skill upgrades.

I'd rather just leave the crossbows to being ranged physical's lb1.
I'd like to see dual maces job as a melee dps, beast master as ranged physical and a chemist or field medic as a healer.




Yes, please. I would not mind any of these suggestions. In addition to that, the dual maces job could possibly be a weapons master and have access to other dual weapons besides maces. (Or perhaps other weapon types through glamour like the PLD, DRK, GNB clubs, WAR dwarven hammer). I have always wanted to wield dual weapons much like Ravana.
Beastmaster with a whip as their main weapon.
And Chemist / Field Medic / Salve Maker wielding some sort of ranged weapon. I want Chemist as the next healer job most of all.

You could argue in the past that they had more of a support angle going on to differentiate them further from casters, but that has been mostly stripped out to make them operate on the same general sliding scale of support vs. dps that every other role does.

I am not too found of crossbows to begin with. I'd see that weapon not as a main weapon but tied to a skill, something like the machinist flamethrower.
As for a different class a pet tamer melee would be cool, using some exotic weapons, maybe nets and whips and various combo with the beast pet for mobiity and heavy attacks.
While we're at it, a magiteck exoskeleton melee dps. that would be awesome with Lala pilots, if nothing else. =D

I'm still waiting for them to use those rifle models loafing around in Limsa and Haukke manor.
I think we can come up with a compromise though. We can reinvite the Monster Hunter crew
