What is crossbow type that you want to see in this game?

Let's talk about future,future expansion. The next possible physical ranged DPS should use crossbow as their weapon before they make new type of weapon because it is general ranged weapon in series and other game. (But I like to Ranged DPS that use throwing weapon e.g. Boomerang/Big shuriken/Rinoa's Blaster Edge as weapon too)

However, crossbow have a lot of type. Let's talk about what is crossbow type that you want to see in this game?

Note: The sample come from action game that have different gameplay from FF14. So, don't compare in term of action gameplay style. I want show about weapon characteristics only for clearly understanding.

1. Heavy crossbow - (Sample) - Slow attack speed, need to reload every shot but hard hitting. This is generic crossbow that can easily to make function same as present BRD's bow and MCH's gun (including charge stance) but no challenge and different feel from BRD and MCH if they do it.

2. One-handed crossbow - (Sample 1)(Sample 2) - Fast rapid shooting light cross bow that can wield it in one handed. Now, We still lack of rapid attacking ranged weapon in this game. If they can develop it, this weapon style will make different gameplay from BRD and MCH.

3. Crossbow Gun (Sample 1)(Sample 2) - The mix of crossbow and gun, it has fast rapid shooting with heavy crossbow looks. Many game like to make them have ability to use bomb and grenade too.

Note: For rapid shooting in this game, I mean weaponskill that can do multiple hit same as "Dream Within a Dream" or "Barrage" with multiple shooting animation like "Empyreal Arrow" because this game can't break 2.5 sec global cooldown system. However, if they have a lot of Ability to fullfil GCD gap like MCH, this will make the shooting feel more rapidly better.

Siege bow class sits/lays down ranged using a ballista, slow firing but deadly like really fact all ranged dps are going caster like why not?

Definitely would want some sort of light - weight rapid firing crossbow. Let's just hope whatever job gets it isn't anchored to the ground like brd/mch.

I feel like there is still a strong desire for a dual wielding gun class like that of Admiral Merlwyb, so maybe a dual wielding light crossbow user would be a nice substitute. I imagine it being acrobatic like Diablo III's Demon Hunter. I would be happy with a standard size crossbow user as well though since I feel like that would suit the aesthetic of the Ranger job more. Either weapon type is something I definitely would like to see.
