    Patch 1.19a - Experience points

    Here we go, 1.19a introduced the fix to the huge gain in EXP when low & high level players fought together against monsters in the range of the high level players.

    it more or less is still possible to play together and obtain great amounts of EXP, BUT... you'll have to be in a 10 level range with the highest player in your group, 1 level below that and you obtain 0, Zero! experience points.

    now i want to ask, SE did a good job at scaling the EXP, why did they decide to totaly kill the exp gain for anyone 11 level below the highest in the group, rather then just scale it further down?

    i'm pretty annoyed by this as i'm unable to play together with some friends now.

    can't we just get level sync already ;;?
    or atleast make it possible to still play together at every level, but scale the exp accordingly to the levels in the party, not destroy them completely!

    throughout the last year we've been sent thru so many changes in SP gain that i'm slowly getting sick of the changes.
    this time you did a great change in SP gain, but at the same time you made it so some players are just unable to play together.

    Cuz some linkshells, especially on our server, were abusing the absolute hell out of the system, and are PROUD of it. Parading the fact they did it.

    BTW, they didn't completely fix it. Just got 300k an hour for some of our sub 50s. Post 1.19a

    they are not stopping u from grouping and playing with your friends. however, they are stopping high level characters carrying lower levels through a broken system that many people exploited and took advantage of.

    its not like you can't party up with someone thats 10 levels higher or 10 levels lower. you just wont get exp for it.

    I think the issue is a small one, I do agree that it would have been best to have it scale unlimited, I guess you will just have to play with people who aren't your friends or ask them to start a new class if you really want to play together.

    yea, i understand that Gabba.
    but as a level 40 MRD i was able to still obtain 450-500 EXP from rank 47-49 mobs that were killed by a level 50.
    SE could just easily build in a bigger scale cap for every 10 levels, like @10 level range 400 EXP, but @11-20 300 or so.
    but totally removing exp from players 11 levels above destroys the purpose to help friends with various things, hard quests, leves, or whatever.

    we had no problem with scaling exp between low and high players up untill now, besides 1.19 of course, so why the sudden change?

    i'm just frustrated that i can't do leves with friends anymore as i'm to high for them.
    and i'm surely not gonna do leves with them if it's costing them their exp.

    40-50 still goes by faster than the rest of the levels because of strongholds and the absurd power difference. The fix didn't fix anything but restrict lowbies from getting any help from within a party. Mobs only need to be 6 levels higher than you for the xp bonus cap, my friend can grab as many as he can and I can pull them off and he still gets full XP/chains out of party.

    Getting rid of XP gains with an 11+ level difference in party didn't fix anything at all, it should have just kept scaling down to reasonable levels instead of giving almost full XP. This is why there needs to be proper feedback rather than "GET RID OF PL OR I QUIT.".

    Level sync i much needed.. sometimes i wonder about SE sometimes ;/
    we hear them always talking about balance, but they never implement level sync.. why???
