Pretending to dps in dungeons, is this a new fad?

You seem to have more of an issue with FF14 as a whole instead of healer roles in downtime.

Just as a healer. Like I said, I love pushing my dps and learning new ways to maximize my DPS on a per fight basis as a ninja or Warrior. Healing is just, "Hey, you know what you were doing before? Better keep doing it or you'll get yelled at!"

Maybe it's just bad luck, but the last four or five Expert Roulettes I've run on my alt have had WHMs who only healed. All they would do is stand around, toss out a Cure 3, wait for my HP to hit around 30%, Cure 3, repeat. I mean, thanks for keeping me alive, but you can't even be bothered to toss an Aero out? Maybe a Holy? Or, use Regen and DPS; I'm a WAR, I'll be fine until Regen runs out. It was honestly baffling. I can only imagine that they were doing something else besides playing the game.

Not single target it doesn't sure maybe if its a group of 5 mobs and you aoe your dots but beyond that no you aren't out parsing them.... unless they are horrible. A geared dps will pull 1k to 1.2k single target.

Notice I mentioned Alex NM. I have been top DPS on A3N many a time. There are many terrible DPS in this game, even in good gear. Some seem to take the attitude of "it's only easy content, I don't have to actually try or anything."

Really? If a healer don't want to do DPS, fine. I don't agree, but I don't really care either. But why a DPS should be bothered by this? It makes no sense, what do you fear? You fear that your healer will parse a higher number than yours?

Luckily, 99% of my runs, players seems appreciative of my DPS.

Nah... still haven't met any healers whose dps even exceed half of my dps as a SMN.

I think they give you a bit of time after your sub ended to have access to the forums.

They give you 14 days from your last verifiable login.

I dish out as much DPS as I am possibly able to in most content, I love adding in more damage and I enjoy the stance dancing (though Cleric toggles like a bitch every now and then) I don't expect other healers to feel the same way or be comfortable pushing out some DPS, but I roll my eyes a bit at healers who stand there doing nothing when they could chuck up some easy damage safely, but whether they DPS or not is up to them, if I am not the healer, I usually comm a healer that heaps in some damage.

Obviously, I don't expect high damage performance from healers in the DF (though from a long series of crummy runs as a tank, I don't expect much from the DPS either) I won't tell you how to play, though I very much appreciate and love healers who use their toolkits to their fullest.
