Spiritbonding HW items

I've recently begun leveling my other jobs past 50 and I've noticed something about the gear. Wearing the level 50 ilvl 115 crafted gear on those classes, they do not spiritbond when doing open-world content. FATEs, leves, and killing monsters in Coerthas Western Highlands do not grant any spiritbond. Literally the only way to spiritbond them as I level is to do dungeons, which is a tad problematic for the DPS classes.

Is it like this for all HW gear going forward? Is there something I'm overlooking for the level 50 gear that could allow me to spiritbond while doing open world content?

Try it on enemies 1-2 levels above the equipping level of the gear. It's worked for me so far.

That worked. I think it may just be that level 50 monsters won't spiritbond ilvl 115 gear. Even though the level 50 HW mobs have corresponding ilvl 115 stats. This is made all the worse by leves and fates dropping the levels of the mobs a few below the content level (level 50 ones typically had level 47 mobs). So, until level 54 or so it seems dungeons and open world monsters are the only option.
