Trying to help a friend with PS4 download prob.

Okay, not sure if this is the best place but who knows. Maybe someone can help.

So, I got a copy of FFXIV ARR and HW for my PS4 last month because they were extremely cheap and good deals, though I mainly play on PC. Both are already install on my PS4 correctly.

Thing is, when I bought my copy of HW from GameStop they gave me a free PS4 download code for ARR, which I didn't need and they even said I could give it away. So I gave it to a friend because she was interested in playing.

But she's needing the registration code to setup her account and quite frankly since I didn't download my games from the PSN (since I had the physical copies, which have reg codes included for them) I really don't know where she can go to find that reg code. Does anyone know how it's handled when you download it from the PSN?

She must links her Mogstation account with her PSN account. Does she have any PSN account?
I don't know about any registration code because I bought the game directly from PS Store.

What I did, I bought the game from PS Store, downloaded it into my PS4. Login to the PS4 with my PSN account that bought the game and login to the game using my Mogstation account. And the game asked me to link my PSN account with my Mogstation account and that's all.

Maybe the free ARR code is supposed to be entered in the voucher code entry in the PS Store at the redeem codes section, I have no idea...

Pretty sure she does. It's the mogstation account I think she's having trouble setting up. Apparently it was also asking for the onetime password (security token), which she doesn't have yet (though I did get her to dl the app on her phone) and would need to be linked to her account anyway after she's in it.

if she doesn't have a mogstation account, or a one time pass key registered to it, she can leave that field blank and it won't matter.

Yeah I thought they have the emergency one time password removal link page in some thread somewhere, in case if this kind of thing happens, or maybe google it.
I suggest that she removes the one time password 1st.
