The FASTEST way to farm Mistbreak i210 gears

1. First, we are talking abt hard mode, and we need about 4-5 parties
   
2. Second, we kill rank V mobs separately instead of stacking over 40 people at the same spot to do massive pulls
   
3. Basically with solo heal/tank and 6 dps, u can speed kill rank V easily
   
4. Appoximately every 5 rank V mobs will give u a track, when you get the track, shout out and get other parties gather together
   
5. After killing the Star rank and getting gold chest, parties should go back to their own spots and farm rank Vs again until new track pops

Pros: We didn't run for full 90mins to test it, but within less than 60mins we got 5 gold chests while there was another party basically trolling the f**k out of us, BUT, if the math works, with 4-5 parties we could very possibly farm 15-18 gold chests in a full 90mins run

Cons: There will be way less i150, i180 trash drops than all 40 people stacking in the same place and do massive pulls, but honestly, what do u need those things for? If ur going in hard mode, ur pretty much going for the i210 gears, and at this point i think everyone has a pegasus alrdy.

the thing about popping a star rank mob is sort of getting enough credit for one party, so while ur doing massive pull, each mob wud have to give 4 to 5 different parties credit, and it wud definitely take a longer time to pop track for each party in that way; However, while parties are killing mobs separately, they get full credit from each mob, and about every 5 mobs u almost guarantee to pop a track


we really want to suggest everyone to try it out before rejecting the idea

That could work but there is a lot of time wasted flying that isn't involved in the old method. I don't go to Diadem very often but when I do, I do hard mode.

Theoretically, you could all stay on the same island, as long as parties weren't hitting each others mobs. This way, you'd only have a very short 5-10 second flight to wherever the tracks were.

I would take a short flight with this method over the old way any day. Last time I hit Dino Island in HM post adjustment we saw one gold, and out of two stars (meteor dino both times) we only managed to kill one of them before parties started timing out and we didn't have anyone to handle adds...

As a crafter, I would want grade 5 materia from handing in those i150 and i180, and you get a lot more in a coordinated alliance than trying to get random people in normal or easy mode to cooperate.

As a side note, you can circumvent the 1000 character limit by editing your post. Like you can fit all of your posts in one post:

I don't know. I guess I'm of the opinion that it would be time-effective for me because I'd want those i210 drops as well. Why not do both in the same run?
I guess I'm not quite in the loop either, not really having done diadem since the nerfs, but exactly how many less i210 drops would you get from a giant roaming alliance working in tandem versus split up? I can kind of see the logic behind the method you're suggesting, but I'm just wondering how much more effective %-wise it actually is.

Quite simply, if you get the 1000 character limit notice as you're posting, copy the entire thing (or cut), post something that is under the limit (optionally you can paste your text to an external program like notepad or another site temporarily), hit "edit post", and replace everything in the post with what's on your clipboard ^^;

Pro-tip: if you hit "Edit post" and then "save" fast enough, you won't get the "Last edited by ______;" message at the bottom either
