Just looking to verify the exact date / time that houses will open, from second # 1

As the title says, I'm just looking to verify the exact date and time that any relinquished houses will open up from the very first second. Would it be December 25, 2015 at 02:00AM Central Standard Time / 03:00AM Eastern Time? I want to make sure that I'm standing near any houses that I currently have marked off as "possibly" coming available that I am interested in buying. Thanks in advance!

This information hasn't been disclosed, and they may never disclose it.

It could be attached to a regular daily timer or attached to an exact time (which presumably would be when the servers first came up on 3.1.) The only way to get an idea of when that is would be to get that information from someone who has a house that has not been accessed and can see the demolition timer in-game.

If you are at the point where you are keeping track of which houses look unused and which don't, more than likely you should just prepare yourself for a stake-out on the night demolition is supposed to occur.

Well, a friend of mine that recently re-subscribed the game and her house was on the demolition timer, told me that it only show the days left, with no minutes or hours, (8 days at the time of this post), so the answer to the big question seems to be a mistery until the real deal .

Suppose the noticfication email will say n-days left as well, i think the resetting time should be same as daily reset time.
As it will be consistent with how to calculate n-days sub/retainer left. ^^;

I appreciate all of your responses, and I will take all into consideration while aiming to buy one of the houses that I am hoping opens up.

One last question though, do I only need to click the placard and then purchase with gil alone in order to purchase it? or is anything else needed? Sorry, I've never purchased a house on this game before, only many others.

The way to calculate it would be to look at when your server went down for maintenance to upgrade to 3.1, and when it came back up. The earliest possible time is 45 days from the beginning of the maintenance window, and the latest possible time is 45 days from the end of it.

Needless to say, I'll be staying up on 12/24 and watching the wards like a hawk.

My best assumption is from when the servers came up as that is when the patch was "released" to us. It could be argued however, that the patch was released when it went up for download, or as soon as the servers went down. Either way, SE seem to want those of us who missed the initial house rush to waste our entire Christmas staying up for the better part of 24 hours stalking a plot. I really think they should say something, but I doubt it.
