    Errors 401 from Free Login Campaign?

    Ever since December, I haven't been able to buy anything from the mog station, due to the 401 error. Apparently, my purchases were being blocked off and I'm seeing a countdown on my retainer service for how many days are left. I emailed square enix about it and they tell me that my bank is blocking my purchases. But when I called the bank, they tell me that they aren't blocking anything.

    What I want to know is if the Free Login Campaign is causing this. I never had an issue with the mog station until past November 30, which was when the campaign started. If its a free login, then I might not lose my subscription, but if that's the case, then why can't I buy anything, change my credit card, and why does it say I have one day left in my retainer service?

    There's another possibility. You could have been hacked. I would try following these steps before pitching any tables. http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...de-401-and-601

    Now I cannot log into the game. Earlier, I kept trying to use the security answer, because nothing I submitted was right. Then I got a maintenance error on the mog station. Now I can't get into the lodestone nor the game. I'm seriously hoping this will be over with 24 hours. I don't know how longer I can keep playing.

    Then chances are high you've been hacked. Find out what you have to do to contact support and see if they can help. Actually, your first stop should have been support to begin with, posting on the forums won't help you accomplish anything except to get comments and horror stories from other players. Square doesn't provide support through the forums, nor will the moderators and GMs tell you anything different from what I've told you and linked.

    Going to support was the first thing I did days ago. All they told was through email was that my "financial institution" denied me...and the bank said they didn't. As I feared, I've been canceled now.

    Once you get your account recovered from the quite obvious hack, your first purchase should be the security tool.

    Hijacking, slightly, I've been having the error 401 problem for the last week or so. My card was cancelled due to having a lost one replaced with a new number. I paid 60 days with a time card and when my new card came in, I repurchased my extra retainer successfully. Since then, I have not been able to use my card at all on the Mogstation.

    This is exactly what happened to me. There came a point, where I had to switch my card from the last one being lost. At first, I was able to use the new card, but of course that didn't last.

    Just an update: I used Paypal to buy Crysta. I was able to resubscribe, so now everything is fine. But I hate the fact it had to come to this. I shouldn't have to be forced to use Crysta. If one good thing came from it, is that my Highlander looks great with Minfilia's hair [although I don't care much for the outfit.]
