The incomplete unending Journey

I've only noticed the other day, when I wanted to re-watch the Tam-Tara HM cutscenes about Edda, that the quest isn't even in the inn to rewatch.

So I went through the entries and more than half of the quests that have cutscenes aren't available to watch again, like the wedding or many of the side quests. Trials and dungeons are all there, but for instance under side story quests, you can find Hildibrand line, one ultmate ballad and two best tribes. All others... not there. Then under Gridania, a total of 3 quests...

So we might aswell be careful when we tell a newbie to go watch his cutscenes in the inn >_>

I think you can only re-watch cutscenes you saw after the Unending Journey was added. I have all the job quest cutscenes except DRG unlocked, but DRG was my first 50 after 2.0 launched.

On the other hand, people have mentioned that certain cutscenes are missing sequences when you watch them at the inn, versus when you catch them live, so there's that. It's not going to stop me from asking new players to skip at least a couple CS in MSQ roulette though--if you let someone watch each CS, it's like 70 minutes of CS for a 20 minute dungeon.

The sidequest with Edda starts in Ul'dah, so it's under that header with the title "Corpse Groom". The sorting of the quests is inconsistent, but it's there!

They have already announced up-front that the Eternal Bond cutscenes can never be reviewed. That probably has a lot to do with the fact that in all other cutscenes with parties there is no one in them but you as the Warrior of Light, and they probably have no way to store that information for all your guests. Since they cannot load the information for the spouse, it would be weird (and sad) to watch the cutscene where it's only your character and the NPCs...

I wish they would add another part to the pop-up that you use to confirm if you want to skip it if the cutscene CANNOT be viewed at a later time though, so people don't skip something important that's a one-time deal. Though such scenes should be eliminated altogether because *the data is there*.

I personally wish it'd have ALL CSs in it. Even the ones that are normally one time only.

I want it to be a log of EVERYTHING I've done that had a "Hold on while we're talking" situation.

I think it'd also be cool if at some point we could echo unlock 1.0's cutscenes and it put Darklander and his crew in the player's stead for the CSs. I'd be all over a questline for that.

You are right about the Edda quest o_O I didn't remember it started in Uldah and was so sure it was Grid that I never checked. About the wedding I can understand all other invitees not being there or being hard to make it possible, but even so, just record the husband and wife, but let me view this moment again :/
Also, I recently got Kirin (yay me) but skipped the final cutscene to not have my party wait around for me, and god was that a bad decision. Kirin's quest is nowhere to be watched again. Not under Mor Dhona quests, not under side Q, not anywhere ;; have to go to youtube.

It's not where the beast tribe quests are? "A Legend for a Legend" should be easy to spot as its title too...

If it really is nowhere then that's a shame, and they should fix it. I don't have this mount but I cannot think of a reason why this cutscene specifically is absent.

I wanted to rewatch some of the DoH cutscenes but only one is available for each DoH/DoL.

Nope, nowhere to be found :/ Actually just had a look at the Journey and it is quiet limited. I did however find Corpse Gloom tyvm! And that's about it lol.

yep I can confirm the book is missing like 50% of the cutscenes....
