Mailing stuff to alts

Argue specifics all you want, but you are only getting extra alts out of that extra money. It's like buying a subscription to a theatre, with the silver package being movie tickets and the gold package being tickets + snacks. Buy purchasing the gold package you are purchasing the snacks, period. You're being charged extra, for the snacks, there's no arguing around it. It being $2 more than the silver package doesn't change the fact that you're paying for the snacks. You're not paying for one alt, no, but you are paying for the ability to use a group of alts.

The majority of players aren't even paying using time cards as if you're living in the States I hear most places don't hold them, and in Australia they're non existent.

How many people actually use the entry level account and only play one character? Really that option might as well not even be there. Also be glad it not under 1.0 pricing cause I believe that was expensive and what I can find from archives doing google search is this.

You may choose whether you want to be billed every 30, 90, or 180 days. You must then choose the number of characters you wish to purchase for $3 each (up to 8).

Which I believe was $12.99 base plus the $3 for each character and only could have up to 8 which I'm assuming is per account not per server. 2.0 only charges $14.99 for standard sub and allows 8 per server up to 40 characters total

There's no excuse for not allowing us to mail stuff to our alt characters on the same server. RMT money laundering prevention is not a valid arguement as RMT are usually in groups and can trade gil amongst themselves or mail it to their RMT buddies, and they could do so so many times that it could make it just as hard to track as any other means. In FFXI it was no problem whatsoever mailing items to anyone, including alts.

Please, can a community mod relay the suggestion to the dev team to allow us to mail items to our alt characters? *fingers crossed this thread actually gets a community mod response*

It is sad that houses don't come with chests. Since now you can give certain people access to your house. A housing chest to move and share amongst your friends or alts.

In an amazing awesome world. We would have housing locked to account and shared between the whole account. With a house chest that could store non trade able items. It has been a long time but I vaguely remember Aion storage was account based per server. This was at launch though.

Use a friend as a courier to deliver your stuff to your Alt, or talk to your FC leader about using a page of the Company Chest temporarily for transferring items en mass. The CC is also useful for transferring large amounts of since I am not aware of a limit on contribution or withdrawal.

My GF and I made our own FC 3 weeks ago (already rank 6) - we put all of our alts in it...the convenience to freely move stuff to/from alts (via the company chest) is amazing I have been really lazy though - I need to use 5 more alts in there for storage...

But the issue with that is, it would mean I would have leave my really good FC to be able to do that and I don't wanna do that, yes I do have the option to transfer thanks to my leader allowing me, but it's still an issue when you are limited with space from the company chest and I personally would love a feature to allow me to transfer to my alt via other means, I personally have 8 retainers and I still would love this feature, so it wouldn't stop me from using the extra retainer feature we have, infact it more than likely that I'll keep the feature so I can store more mats that I need that I mass craft everyday

yep, that is an issue - I wouldn't even care to make an FC if we could 1) mail alts 2) houses get auto shared with alts

also worth mentioning: some people have their alts friended due to a bug early on in ARR, and they can mail stuff to their alts while the rest of us can't

My preference would be for them just to see all chars under your account, and put them on your friend list automatically. No need to change how retainers work, no impact on RMT, huge headache solved.

I'll continue with the running joke since yoshida explained why they can't expand our inventory..."it would put too much stress on the servers."
