I don't understand these accuracy arguments. My attacks barely miss in any content, including the endgame raids.

You probably barely miss in any content because you actually have too much accuracy. If you knew the caps, you could go ahead and drop your accuracy for better stats while doing that content. And if you never miss even in raids, you probably have too much for them too.

I'd like to know how much accuracy I actually need so I can stop stacking it and trade out some gear for other stats instead. I have a ton of accuracy right now, probably way more than I need. I'd rather have crit or det, but the game itself gives zero indication of how much accuracy I can safely drop to get those stats.
I'd rather have a way to see it in game than have to go to a third party website to find out how much accuracy I need so I won't miss my target.

Just get rid of Accuracy, it's a terrible stat.
But accuracy can't and shouldn't simply just get dropped. It'd be useless just like the elemental/abnormal resistances. Simply putting in the accuracy for a mission(The Devs must know what it is obviously) would take much less effort than just scrapping the accuracy. For no good reason by the way.
That's like saying get rid of Parry because it isn't effective.
I'll just say it. "WoW did it, so why can't XIV?"But accuracy can't and shouldn't simply just get dropped. It'd be useless just like the elemental/abnormal resistances. It absolutely was. Players throughout the game literally reveled in the change. Those who disliked the change were few and far between, even amongst the vocal minority that is the official forums for the game, and even those few eventually conceded to the fact that it was a good change. Nowadays, people dissatisfied with that change are extremely rare.
Truly, I'm not even exaggerating.
Accuracy is the very antithesis of a fun stat. You either have too little Accuracy or too much Accuracy, and it's not a fun feeling to be suffering from either case. It also becomes a choke point in changing out and upgrading gear. "If I upgrade, will I go below the accuracy cap? Damn. I will..." "Hm, I'm at the accuracy cap already and this next piece has accuracy where as my current piece doesn't, so it's actually a downgrade. What a let down."
It's also the only stat to require X amount, and where more is not only not always better, but also very often worse than less.

As a Scholar, I have to disagree. The gear is already pretty limited in this game, so to have to sacrifice other stats in order to reach accuracy requirements makes stats a little more interesting than what they are. For those reasons I would actually argue accuracy is one of the most interesting out of our stats.
Anyway, on topic I agree with the OP. There's no real reason not to include this information. By the time 99% of people tackle content, we google accuracy requirements anyway.
In DC Universe Online, if you could not tank or use crowd control effects on enemies efficiently due to insufficient Dominance even after the game itself gives you a warning/tip of the recommended amount, then yes you were called out because you didn't heed the warning.
