I transferred from Framfrit to Excalibur like 4 days ago because the realm is dead, Odin appeared once and only 25-35 people appeared and even places like Iddleshire are empty but Excalibur has always people around and Im able to lvl up with fate parties so I guess that not all the servers are having issues.

There is no point in being in the zones. And honestly why do you care? Get your quests done and then do the real content (PF/DF). Open world has NEVER been interesting since if it is worth doing it will be zerged. IE no skill just spam.

Out of curiosity, what time zone are you in? 11:30pm isn't exactly peak time even in EST.

The population decrease is also because there are STILL people playing Fallout 4. We finally had someone return this morning because she's done with F4 finally.

I don't expect a big population boom again til after Christmas, when we'll get a new wave of newbies and a lot of folks who finally beat F4 over the break.

Starting 3.0 areas are just like 2.0 starting areas; what reason do you have to keep coming back to them if you're already doing end game stuff?

The average person who bought FO4 definitely won't be spending hundreds of hours on it (you could check the statistics on Steam Spy I believe), I'm only 70 hours in and have finished the game twice, got all the unique weapons and armour, built several settlements, finished the majority of sidequests (at least the ones listed online, which I would assume is all of them) and messed around with mods. It isn't as jam packed as say, The Witcher 3 really. I guess if you really love settlement building, but otherwise, the population loss doesn't have much to do with FO4 at this point.

Fallout scored like a 5.4 for PC on metacritic user review. Don't get what all the fuss is about.

This has been a concern for me, lately. I don't have many class/jobs pass level 20, just one level 60 for end game. My problem I have is that I don't enjoy the early-mid level content anymore, it's lonely and boring after 10-20 minutes. Dungeons are good for short play sessions when I have little time, but when I do have more time I want to do stuff in the open world that feels rewarding. I always look forward to patch days to try out the new stuff, but once I have done it a few times, I can't find anything else fun to do. I have little experienced when it comes to end game content in MMOs but I feel that it is lacking a bit of depth in this game. FATEs are boring at most levels. For me, this is because it's unsociable and too repeatitive. Might be an idea to add more random events that requires players to think about what they are doing, but I'm sure we know what would make us play more.

As Colorful mentioned, it has a build/settlement mode. The friend who returned to XIV yesterday was hugely into Minecraft for a long time, so she went a little crazy and Built All The Things.

The open world is pretty much dead in 3.0 areas. Most people do lvling roulette and dungeons to lvl up and they usually hang out in limsa or in idyllshire. I only go to 3.0 areas to fly around while listening to some relaxing music.
